[00:00:36] Jonni Boy: Welcome to the Hero Chat Show where we will be shared every two weeks segments, such as At the Movies, a new movie that we've seen. Watching TV, a new TV show that we're watching. We're gaming together. That'll be, next week, a video game we're playing. And this week At the Con a comic con we have visited and sometimes we have a special guest. Mostly sharing from DC Marvel and star wars. I'm Johnny boy.

[00:00:59] ZaneMan: [00:01:00] I'm Zane, man.

[00:01:00] Jonni Boy: Do we want to get right into the movie? We are going back in the archives to look at a few things that we've seen previous.

[00:01:09] ZaneMan: Yeah. We had to do that next week too.

[00:01:11] Jonni Boy: Yeah. So we're waiting on Marvel's Entertainment She Hulk: Attorney at Law and we are waiting on movies to come out. They've canceled a bunch of DC movies.

[00:01:22] ZaneMan: They shifted all the Marvel movies around.

[00:01:24] Jonni Boy: Yeah. They shifted all the Marvel movies around, but why don't we go ahead and get into the movie.

[00:01:28] ZaneMan: All right.

At the Movies

[00:01:29] Theme Songs: It's the Hero chat Show At the movies chat

[00:01:35] Jonni Boy: Today, 60 years ago, Amazing Fantasy number 15 had the appearance of this character from Marvel entertainment.

[00:01:46] ZaneMan: Spiderman.

[00:01:47] Jonni Boy: Spiderman. Spiderman does whatever a Spiderman does.

[00:01:54] ZaneMan: He does whatever Spiderman is doing whatever spider does.

[00:01:58] Cuz if Spiderman was basing [00:02:00] himself off Spiderman, then that would be like probably like miles Morales. I think

[00:02:04] Jonni Boy: but 60 years old today, celebrating a birthday. You have one of those amazing fantasy number fifteens with the first. Appearance of him. You're probably as old as the first spider-Man

[00:02:16] ZaneMan: you can't believe how long Spider-Man's been going on, especially with, three Spider-Man movies and then two Spider-Man movies and then three Spider-Man movies.

[00:02:25] Jonni Boy: Yeah. There's a lot of Spider-Man movies out there. And today we're gonna talk about the latest in the trilogy of movies.

[00:02:33] We only got two, the second go round. They were working on a third, but they canceled it. So this is Marvel studios. Spider-Man no way home. It's also Columbia Pictures release date was December 17th, 2021. We went back in the archives. They are gonna rerelease this with extra footage. I'm not sure it's already out in the theaters or it's something that's forthcoming, but you can look for that.

[00:02:57] ZaneMan: It was called Spider-Man no way [00:03:00] home because he couldn't get back home.

[00:03:01] Jonni Boy: True. And all of the titles in this Spider-Man trilogy have home in the title at some point homecoming.

[00:03:09] ZaneMan: Yeah.

[00:03:10] Jonni Boy: Second one was far from home.

[00:03:12] ZaneMan: Yeah. He was pretty far from it.

[00:03:14] Jonni Boy: And this one is no way home.

[00:03:15] ZaneMan: Yeah. Cuz he couldn't get back home.

[00:03:17] Jonni Boy: So we'll see if the next set of trilogies has home in it or if they use a different word,

[00:03:22] Underoos Tom Holland as Peter Parker and MCU Spiderman, then we have Zendaya as MJ.

[00:03:30] ZaneMan: Never mind. Just keep going.

[00:03:32] Jonni Boy: Sherlock Holmes Benedict Cumberbatch as Dr. Strange Jacob Batalon as Ned leads, Andrew Garfield as Peter Parker amazing Spiderman and Toby McGuire as Peter Parker, the original Spiderman.

[00:03:46] ZaneMan: You just spoil the entire movie. We didn't even do a spoiler warning...

[00:03:49] Jonni Boy: I know we didn't even do a spoiler warning, but we figured it's been out long enough. You've seen it. If you don't know, we just ripped a Band-Aid off. We spoiled it for you.

[00:03:56] ZaneMan: Yeah, but you're, you can't say things like that. You can't just say like dumb door dies. [00:04:00]

[00:04:00] Jonni Boy: That's true. Anyway, there's three Spiderman.

[00:04:02] ZaneMan: Wow.

[00:04:03] Jonni Boy: and they're all pointing at one another, like they did in the meme

[00:04:07] ZaneMan: in the cartoon meme it's like the first thing that they did.

[00:04:10] Jonni Boy: I don't like the numbering system that they use in this Spider-Man because the MCU Spider-Man, Tom Holland is number one Toby McGuire as the original Spider-Man's number two. And then Andrew Garfield as the amazing Spider-Man is number three. I really think they should add Toby McGuire one Andrew Garfield two and Tom Holland is three.

[00:04:30] ZaneMan: Yeah. For people that didn't watch those movies it would've been a little strange because they haven't been like following those ones Tom Holland being the first Spiderman makes more sense to them. Because it's the first one that they had seen. And it's in that continuation of series.

[00:04:45] Jonni Boy: I guess you're right. I just still, don't agree with it.

[00:04:48] Jonni Boy: We have the same director for this one. John Watts came back to direct this one, not sure if he's doing the next set of trilogies, he backed out of the fantastic four, which they paid a little homage to [00:05:00] in far from home at the very end where they basically sold the building and people think that it's the Baxter building now.

[00:05:07] ZaneMan: Yeah. At the end of that movie, you can see in the background, it's like a little construction sign. It says 1, 2, 3, and like fours, like circled or something.

[00:05:15] Jonni Boy: Yeah. So there was all kinds of pushing to the next movie that John Watts was supposedly to direct, which is a fantastic four, but we'll get that movie. In phase six, the new phase six, that's the movie that's gonna be there. And they've put a couple of Avenger movies out there as well.

[00:05:31] ZaneMan: Did you notice that in the first and second of the Tom Holland Spiderman’s they both ended with an almost curse word, at the end of the first one, aunt may like says the F word, but it gets cut off.

[00:05:41] And then at the end of the second one, they find out Tom Holland's secret identity and he curses. But at then at the end of this one, I don't think anyone curses,

[00:05:49] Jonni Boy: Maybe he was curing under his breath cuz nobody remembered him.

[00:05:52] ZaneMan: He had a curse jar. Like he put a nickel in it, instead of saying a curse word.

[00:05:56] Jonni Boy: He's gonna need all that money now considering he's out there on his own. [00:06:00] I M BD said, Peter Parker's secret identity is revealed to the entire world. Desperate for help. Peter turns to Dr. Strange to make the world forget that he is Spider-Man, the spell goes horribly wrong and shatters the multiverse, bringing in monstrous villains that could destroy the world.

[00:06:18] ZaneMan: When the trailers came out, everyone speculated that exact thing happened.

[00:06:22] Jonni Boy: Speculated what happened?

[00:06:23] ZaneMan: They just guessed what was gonna happen in the movie. Cuz they, they saw Dr. Strange doing a spell and then they saw Spider-Man like trying to change it up all the time. And he said, don't mess with the spell. And everyone was like, what's gonna go wrong. And then like the, these rings in the middle were actually like showing the three universes that they're pulling from. And it was like the, everything that they guessed in the entire movie was just spoiled if you watch those.

[00:06:46] Jonni Boy: Oh yeah. I do remember, seeing some of the, when they were working and then breaking down the trailers on YouTube.

[00:06:52] ZaneMan: Yeah.

[00:06:52] Jonni Boy: That they were talking about that. As you said, a few minutes ago, Spider-Man no way home picks up right after. Basically, where that one drops us [00:07:00] off Spider-Man is revealed by J. Jonah Jame son as Peter Parker, he's swinging, MJ through the city. And then Ned calls him on the phone. Helicopters are following him all the way home to an Ironman three type moment with aunt may and happy breaking up, at their house, surrounded by choppers at the apartment

[00:07:20] ZaneMan: choppers.

[00:07:21] Jonni Boy: Choppas

[00:07:22] ZaneMan: yeah, I liked this movie. What'd you think of it?

[00:07:25] Jonni Boy: Yeah, I enjoyed it. I've watched this probably three or four times. And, I only watched it once to do the breakdown. And so the other couple times I've watched it. So whenever that happens, normally that means I like a movie cuz I'm watching it again.

[00:07:38] ZaneMan: I've only ever seen it once and it's only cuz I remember everything that happened because of everyone talking about it afterwards.

[00:07:43] Jonni Boy: Yeah. It had a lot of good reveals when it came out, a lot of people didn't know, Andrew Garfield had some pictures that came out and he was trying to debunk and saying that he wasn't really in it.

[00:07:52] And he was, they didn't have anything of, the first Spiderman, because basically Toby McGuire was [00:08:00] keeping silent, but they thought that he might be in it, but he was holding out for more cash. It looks like in the very ending of the movie. If you're watching where he's with the other Spider-Man and they're on the captain, America's shield it almost looks fake his, like his face.

[00:08:14] Like they superimposed him over somebody else. I don't know if they actually had signed him or not yet. And, somebody else was maybe being the Spider-Man hoping that they would get him signed and steal the deal and everything. Cause his face looks weird in some parts at the very end.

[00:08:29] ZaneMan: It's kind funny.

[00:08:31] Jonni Boy: Yeah. Peter and may move in with happy Peter MJ and Ned do not get into any colleges because of Peter Parker, reveal since, the coffee shop where MJ works is still decorated for Halloween, the witch lights remind Peter to visit Dr. Strange.

[00:08:50] ZaneMan: Dr. Steven strange,

[00:08:52] Jonni Boy: Dr. Steven strange at the Santo sanatorium,

[00:08:55] ZaneMan: Steven strange symptom Santorum. That's a lot of s's.

[00:08:59] Jonni Boy: I know. You [00:09:00] know how, he was with Stanley was with the double letters. Look at Jay Jonah Jameson that's three. We got Peter Parker.

[00:09:09] ZaneMan: We gotta save the senior citizen, Stephen strange at the Santo sing. Toum

[00:09:13] Jonni Boy: yeah. So you got Santoy toum and you got Stephen strange. So it's just. SS PS,

[00:09:19] ZaneMan: L P

[00:09:20] Jonni Boy: L PS. So at the Santo sanatorium, there is a blizzard inside. Wong is packing to leave. Peter asked him to cast the spell. So no one, not aunt may not MJ, not Ned, not happy, not several other people. The spell breaks out and Dr. Strange looks like he captures it, but it's unraveling the multiverse

[00:09:43] ZaneMan: done. Done, done,

[00:09:45] Jonni Boy: Done. Dun terrifying.

[00:09:48] Terrifying. Yeah, it just goes awry. He's stop talking.

[00:09:53] ZaneMan: He's whoa, bro. Calm down.

[00:09:55] Jonni Boy: Stop talking.

[00:09:56] ZaneMan: You're harshing my vibe.

[00:09:57] Jonni Boy: You're ruining the spell man. [00:10:00] those words. Aren't in the spell dude. My, my doctor strange is like a.

[00:10:04] Just like a cool, yeah, like the guy from stranger things, he's come on, dude. You're like ruining the spell, man.

[00:10:11] ZaneMan: That's your Steven shows.

[00:10:12] Jonni Boy: I'm doing the spell for you. And you gotta mention all kinds of people's names and stuff.

[00:10:18] ZaneMan: I don't think you're doing like Steven strange right there. It sounds nothing like him.

[00:10:22] Jonni Boy: I try, nobody said I was an actor does a good, rendition.

[00:10:26] ZaneMan: You've done some pretty good voices on the show.

[00:10:28] Jonni Boy: True. I think people really don't like the voice. They probably skip over that part. When I do the voices,

[00:10:34] ZaneMan: I liked your Ridler.

[00:10:35] Jonni Boy: The Ridler was good. I really worked on the Ridler, that, that was Oscar worthy. I feel

[00:10:40] ZaneMan: it was.

[00:10:41] Jonni Boy: So then we go to the bridge and while trying to talk with the emissions lady for MIT doc op shows up, doc op gets, nanotechnology from Peter's suit and then green Golan shows up, Spiderman, throwing pumpkin bombs, and then he gets away Dr. Strange, sling rings, Peter back to the Santorum [00:11:00] Santorum. And, he has lizard from amazing Spiderman trapped and has also trapped doc a and he gives Peter a magic arm band,

[00:11:09] ZaneMan: a magic arm band for his suit.

[00:11:13] He, at that point he's just yeah. And then it just appears on his arm. He is like, whoa, what is that? And he is like, yeah, you'll need it. And then, you Spiderman's just whoa, magic. Crazy.

[00:11:21] Jonni Boy: Crazy magic. Crazy magic dude.

[00:11:24] ZaneMan: Yeah. That's what he says.

[00:11:25] Jonni Boy: He's like I told you, Peter, I would handle this man.

[00:11:28] ZaneMan: You sounded like bill and Ted.

[00:11:29] Jonni Boy: So MJ and Ned show up to the sanatorium and Dr. Strange says, Hey, yo dude, please Scooby do this shit.

[00:11:40] ZaneMan: That's what he says.

[00:11:41] Jonni Boy: It's Hey man, please Scooby do this shit. You know what I'm saying, bro?

[00:11:45] ZaneMan: Hey bro, you got a Scooby do

[00:11:47] Jonni Boy: Scooby do I like what MJ says to him here. She's I know a couple of magic words myself, starting with the word please.

[00:11:55] And then he is like, you can work in the undercroft please Scooby do this. Yo dude, please. [00:12:00] If you're feeling like it, dude, if you're feeling it, if you're feeling it in your heart, I know I cursed right there, but if you could just feel it in your heart and Scooby do this crap, it's crap better than saying the S word.

[00:12:11] ZaneMan: I, I just can't process this anymore. It's like the fourth time you've said that.

[00:12:15] Jonni Boy: So they go to the under crop and then, finds a multiverse man, near a research facility and Spider-Man goes out to face a new electro new and he's no longer blue he's yellow bump bump,

[00:12:30] ZaneMan: like the comics,

[00:12:32] Jonni Boy: like the comic books.

[00:12:34] He's comic book accurate. Now Marvel got a hold of him. The spider suit is on backwards showing the wiring because his suit, somebody threw paint on it. They were like, oh, we don't like you, Peter, you suck or something and you killed Mysterio. Yeah. And they threw paint on him.

[00:12:49] ZaneMan: We followed the mass murderer.

[00:12:51] Jonni Boy: Yeah. So they switched it, around showing the wiring and looks pretty cool. Sandman shows up to help Peter trap electro and [00:13:00] then Sandman doesn't trust him. So he also traps him.

[00:13:04] Jonni Boy: So you have Sandman from Spiderman 3, you have Electro from Amazing Spider-Man and you have

[00:13:10] Doc Ock from Spider-Man 2, and you have the Lizard from Amazing Spider-Man number 1.

[00:13:16] So you're hitting a bunch of the movies there and you have four of the villains now trapped.

[00:13:22] ZaneMan: That was too many numbers. I lost track.

[00:13:24] Jonni Boy: 2, 4, 6, 8. So there's basically 10 people trapped now.

[00:13:27] ZaneMan: I don't think that math adds up.

[00:13:29] Jonni Boy: Okay. So it's the Lizard from Amazing Spider-Man 1.

[00:13:33] ZaneMan: Okay.

[00:13:34] Jonni Boy: That's 1.

[00:13:35] ZaneMan: Yeah.

[00:13:35] Jonni Boy: Right then you have Dr. Ock from Spider-Man 2 that's 2.

[00:13:40] ZaneMan: Wait, so the Lizard from Amazing Spiderman 1 and then, and Dr. Ock from just the regular Spider-Man 2.

[00:13:47] Jonni Boy: That's two, then he caught Electro from the Amazing Spider-Man 2...

[00:13:51] ZaneMan: So we have Amazing Spider-Man 1 and 2 but only Spider-Man 2.

[00:13:55] Jonni Boy: And then he captures Sandman from Spider-Man 3.

[00:13:59] ZaneMan: All right. All [00:14:00] right. So just to recap,

[00:14:01] Jonni Boy: that's 4

[00:14:02] ZaneMan: that's 4 villains,

[00:14:03] Jonni Boy: 4 villains that are trapped in the Sanctum Sanctorum in the undercroft.

[00:14:08] ZaneMan: That's Amazing Spider-Man 1 and 2. And then Spider-Man 2 and 3. So it sounds to me like we're missing someone.

[00:14:16] Jonni Boy: We are. Very acute.

[00:14:19] ZaneMan: Thank you.

[00:14:19] Jonni Boy: Astute. Is it acute or astute?

[00:14:21] ZaneMan: Acute is the angle of a triangle.

[00:14:24] Jonni Boy: So astute, very astute.

[00:14:26] ZaneMan: Yes.

[00:14:27] Jonni Boy: That was what I meant to say.

[00:14:28] ZaneMan: Could've just said observant,

[00:14:29] Jonni Boy: that would work too. So we are missing somebody Green Goblin from Spider-Man the original,

[00:14:36] ZaneMan: the first 1,

[00:14:37] Jonni Boy: yes.

[00:14:37] Jonni Boy: In an alley talks to his helmet. And then he smashes the helmet. Aunt may calls because green Golan shows up at the feast where aunt may works and she says he needs to help. Spider-Man needs to help the multiverse. Men may drives them to the Santo sanatorium and aunt may cleans Peter's spider [00:15:00] suit. So now there's no more green paint on it.

[00:15:02] Doc is Osborne's dead. And, Sandman says they all died fighting Spider-Man

[00:15:10] ZaneMan: Spider-Man.

[00:15:11] Jonni Boy: That was a spoiler. In case you haven't seen Spiderman two, Spiderman, three amazing Spiderman, two Spiderman. Spider-Man a homecoming Spider-Man far from home and Spider-Man no way home.

[00:15:21] ZaneMan: So just so you know, you need to watch Spider-Man, Spider-Man two, Spider-Man three amazing. Spider-Man amazing. Spider-Man two, Spider-Man homecoming. Spider-Man far from home to understand. Spider-Man no way home,

[00:15:32] Jonni Boy: Yeah. You gotta watch all the Spider-Man.

[00:15:35] ZaneMan: You had to watch all, what is it? Seven movies

[00:15:38] Jonni Boy: sounds about, right. but we couldn't add the villas up earlier, so we should probably just. Counting.

[00:15:43] ZaneMan: Yeah.

[00:15:44] Jonni Boy: Dr. Strange, locked the spell in an ancient Relic. I'm not even gonna butcher their name, but it's called them, calculus.

[00:15:51] ZaneMan: I thought you just said you weren't gonna butcher

[00:15:52] Jonni Boy: well, I figured I'd go ahead and give it a run cuz I know how you like me to pronounce things.

[00:15:56] ZaneMan: No, it's great.

[00:15:56] Jonni Boy: Spider-Man steals the Relic Dr. Strange knocks Peter [00:16:00] out of his body. He floats back into his body, which was a cool sequence. And we think that was because of his Peter tingle.

[00:16:06] ZaneMan: Yeah. Dr. Strange is trying to reach for the box and Spiderman's old Peter tingle is like keeping it away from him.

[00:16:12] Jonni Boy: Yeah, he was, kind of like, on the playground when used to play, keep away. And, Dr. Strange doesn't like it. Dr. Strange and Spiderman fight, in New York and then he takes them to the mirror dimension.

[00:16:22] Until math that's right. I said it seventh grade math

[00:16:27] ZaneMan: This is where the real world appliance comes in. You always thought, Hey, I'm never gonna use math in real life. But look at Spider-Man.

[00:16:33] Jonni Boy: Look at Spider-Man Spider-Man, uses math and gets out of the Mirror dimension steals the little sling ring and gets back to Ned and MJ. Trapping. Dr. Strange.

[00:16:44] ZaneMan: I'd say it's more like a death sentence because if he's not gonna tell anyone where old Stephen Strange is then he's just gonna be trapped there forever.

[00:16:52] Jonni Boy: He's dude, man, how could you like trap me here without my pizza and stuff, man,

[00:16:55] I need some stuff. Like the mirror dimension makes all my pizza, like in [00:17:00] triangles and stuff, and then I'm starting to do math and then I'm hungry.

[00:17:04] ZaneMan: Are you Michelangelo from the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.

[00:17:07] Jonni Boy: We grew up with a lot of our heroes liking pizza. So it's just, there's pizza in some of these, movies too.

[00:17:14] ZaneMan: Cartoon pizza always looks like the best pizza ever.

[00:17:17] Jonni Boy: The first Spider-Man trilogy had a lot of references to pizza's time. He even delivered pizza at one point.

[00:17:22] ZaneMan: That was the reference. That's the one I just made

[00:17:24] Jonni Boy: So Spider-Man gives Ned the ring, MJ the Relic and says that he, wants to help the multiverse men.

[00:17:30] Peter takes green. Goblin do op Sandman lizard and electro to Happy's apartment, unbeknownst to happy, but happy has, video camera and sees all the guys going in there. And he's who did you bring into the apartment?

[00:17:42] ZaneMan: He doesn't seem very happy about it

[00:17:45] Jonni Boy: Sandman sits on the couch and sand gets all on the couch.

[00:17:48] And so they start, going around and, it's funny with doc is doc ox. Like you're gonna fix us in some studio apartment. What do you have in here? That's gonna help us or whatever. Yeah. And they have an arc [00:18:00] reactor for, for stark. It's a fabricator.

[00:18:02] ZaneMan: They had the old stark fabricator, the old, and the very important stark fabricator that we all knew about

[00:18:08] Jonni Boy: just lying around the house.

[00:18:10] ZaneMan: Just lying around in storage.

[00:18:12] Jonni Boy: Yeah. On May thought it was, Something, I don't know what she said. She thought it was,

[00:18:16] ZaneMan: it looks like a pizza oven. I bet

[00:18:18] Jonni Boy: probably that's what they probably thought it was a pizza oven. So Peter fixes doc ox chip, even though he doesn't want him to, he gave Peter back his nanotech so gives him back his nanotech, which changes his suit at that point.

[00:18:30] Norman synthesizes, the serum, and, gives a device to electro to draw the power away from him. Peter's tingle goes off. This is a really cool. Scenario with Peter's tingle because he, we don't know what's going on.

[00:18:42] ZaneMan: Yeah. He's just like walking around the studio apartment. And I think in some scenes at this part, you can actually like, see like the comic book lines above it. If you look closely.

[00:18:51] Jonni Boy: Yeah. Like the waves.

[00:18:52] ZaneMan: It's like almost invisible, but you can see it in some frames and he's like walking around. He's whoa, my, my Peter tingle is going off. I'm [00:19:00] tingling

[00:19:00] Jonni Boy: and he doesn't know what's about to happen, but he knows something's about to happen.

[00:19:03] And its green Goblin. So may sneaks in, gets the serum runs. Electro gets the arc reactor, Sandman leaves, electro push doc, an out of the building, Sandman lizard and electro escape and green Golan and Peter fight. And then spoiler, bum, BU somebody dies.

[00:19:25] ZaneMan: Is it me

[00:19:26] Jonni Boy: May dies?

[00:19:27] ZaneMan: May well, we still have April, right?

[00:19:29] Jonni Boy: Now you don't have May,

[00:20:46] Jonni Boy: So then Ned opens another portal to find. Peter Parker. It can't be Peter.

[00:21:07] So you got the amazing and the original Spider-Man and they start fighting and then they were like, Hey, he needs our help. So MJ, Ned, and the two Spidermans they just showed up all of a sudden convince our MCU Spider-Man to cure the bad guys instead of killing them.

[00:21:23] They basically says, Ned says, we're gonna cure that ass.

[00:21:26] ZaneMan: I don't, I could what he said, and I haven't watched the movie in a while.

[00:21:31] Jonni Boy: So all three assist with the cures and they talk about, MJS and Owens and best friends and, aunt Barus, that's not the right. That's not the right trilogy.

So its funny here, both the older Spider-Man are saying they have back problems and they're cracking each other's backs.

[00:22:21] Jonni Boy: And they're talking about their web situation. The original Spider-Man has the webbing out of his body. And they were like, do you have it anywhere else? And he's let's not talk about this right now. And he is like, no, we really wanna know your web situation. What's going on with it?

[00:22:33] And then they're talking about, working with crazy villains, alien, with black GU, with the original Spidermans and then, the MCU Spidermans he fought an alien on earth and in space and he's cool on earth and in space. And then the amazing Spider-Man was like, yeah, I fought a Russian guy in a run Aros machine.

[00:22:51] ZaneMan: Say, yeah. I'm not nearly as cool

[00:22:53] Jonni Boy: as you could. Not nearly as cool. Then, youth, pastor Spiderman say, dude, you're just amazing. Yeah. So cheesy,

[00:22:59] So [00:23:00] Spider-Man one is the MCU Spider-Man Spiderman two is the original, Spider-Man Spider-Man three is the amazing Spider-Man they take on electro lizard and Sandman curing too. Doc op shows up and assists with electro then Ned portals in Dr. Strange and green gall show up and green Gollum last a Relic in the spell.

[00:23:27] ZaneMan: you see all the silhouettes of people.

[00:23:29] Jonni Boy: Yeah. And the multiverse, they're all coming in. It's all breaking away.

[00:23:33] ZaneMan: The multiverses, like in madness you could say. \

[00:23:36] Jonni Boy: And incu, Spider-Man got really dark and it seemed like the amazing Spider-Man Sony, other Spider-Man, was talking about how he got really dark and did some, some bad things

[00:23:46] he said he stopped holding his punches, stopped pulling his punches. Yeah. And he almost kills green. Goblin the MCU. Spider-Man the original Spider-Man. The, youth, pastor Spiderman stops him while the amazing Spider-Man gives [00:24:00] the MCU Spider-Man to cure and they cure him.

[00:24:02] They've cured all of them.

[00:24:03] ZaneMan: Yep.

[00:24:04] Jonni Boy: MCU Spiderman tells Dr. Strange to reverse the spell, sending everyone back to making them forget that he's Spiderman.

[00:24:12] ZaneMan: He's do one more spell, but make everyone forget Peter Parker or something like that.

[00:24:17] Jonni Boy: He's dude, I got this one spell, bro. I'm gonna lock it in and we're gonna get you back to Spiderman.

[00:24:22] ZaneMan: Yeah. Steven was all sad and he was like, dude, I actually like care about you though.

[00:24:26] Jonni Boy: He did. He said that he could call him, instead of saying, sir, he could call him Steven again. He said, that still feels weird, but I'll allow it.

[00:25:05] He didn't have any Avenger's money coming in from what we saw in Falcon in the winter soldier,

[00:25:44] He goes, to aunt May's grave and happy is there and happy ask, how did you know her? And, he's like through Spider-Man so they know Spider-Man they just don't know that he's Spider-Man Peter, as you said, moves it to an apartment, makes a new Spider-Man suit with his, what do you call it?

[00:26:01] ZaneMan: You see all like the fabric he laid around. Apparently he learned to sew at some point.

[00:26:05] Jonni Boy: So he is he's sewing now he's got his own sewing machine. He can afford an apartment and coffee and fabric. Then there's a mid-credit scene that doesn't make sense.

[00:26:12] People were probably a little upset about it. It's venom Eddie learning, about Ironman Hawk, learning about, superheroes and he disappears, but he leaves a little bit of the black go

[00:27:27] So good movie. I was, worried when I first saw the previews. Because I really didn't want them to bring the old villains back. I don't really like the old villains didn't work for me in the older movies. Green Goblin, he had a metal militarized suit. That's not green. Goblin from the comic books, Sandman was original and venom was sort original. The guy that played him was just horrible. And some of the other ones lizard was okay. I'm glad they redid electro and I'm glad that they made him not as nerdy.

[00:27:56] ZaneMan: They changed the green Goblin in this movie.

[00:27:59] Jonni Boy: They did, they [00:28:00] made him look better. They took away the mass, they broke the mass. He still had the militarized, uniform on, but it didn't shine as much. Didn't have as no, he shimmer as much.

[00:28:08] ZaneMan: Pretty sure he changed like a hoodie near the end.

[00:28:10] Jonni Boy: Yeah, he did. He had, he had a hoodie on and he had the goggles.

[00:28:13] So it brought the purple and the green in from the comic boat.

[00:28:18] ZaneMan: So they got rid of his suit.

[00:28:19] Jonni Boy: He was still wearing the suit underneath, I think, oh, I, during the, I believe I could be wrong, but I wasn't, too thrilled when they were showing that. And I wasn't really thrilled. They were gonna bring all the Spider-Man back.

[00:28:29] Jonni Boy: But, Marvel does what Marvel does and I have to say, I really enjoyed it. It made a ton of money.

[00:28:34] ZaneMan: Yeah.

[00:28:35] Jonni Boy: It made a ton of money. It almost made like Avengers, level tight money, money. Yeah. With multi Ora madness, now Thor's not doing as well, it, it made some good money and I've watched it several times.

[00:28:45] So I'd have to say, I'm thinking, seven,

[00:28:48] ZaneMan: you thinking of seven out of 700

[00:28:51] Jonni Boy: out of 10

[00:28:52] ZaneMan: that's a little low

[00:28:53] Jonni Boy: well, you know, I mean, I'm not just a fan of the movie. I like Tom Holland as the Spiderman. And I like it, probably more. [00:29:00] Then the last one, Mysterio was okay, but I think I liked the first, homecoming, with the vulture, better.

[00:29:07] I really like, Andrew Garfield, the amazing Spiderman. I liked the chemistry between him, and his girlfriend in that movie. And I really enjoyed just his portrayal and I'm glad that he was able to finally showcase his talents because I think he really shined in this movie, where he didn't get a chance to do that in his own Spider-Man movie.

[00:29:27] And they've signed him to come back. I don't know if they've signed Toby McGuire and I don't know when they're coming back and I don't know what they're coming back for. And supposedly we're getting another Tom Holland trilogy, the MCU Spider-Man, but we don't know when that's coming. They haven't announced it.

[00:29:42] They might announce some stuff at, D 23 coming up here, in September.

[00:29:46] ZaneMan: I'd probably say the same thing about the movie. I think about a seven and a half out of 10,000. I liked it though. I thought it was pretty good.

[00:29:52] Jonni Boy: I think if I had to rate the movies, just off the top of my head, I think I would do no way home as my number [00:30:00] one, homecoming as my number two, then I think I would go with the amazing Spider-Man the first movie, even though I didn't really like the lizard, then I would think I would go with Spider-Man Spider-Man two.

[00:30:13] And then I don't know where the other ones kind of line up.

[00:30:17] ZaneMan: I think I'd probably do the amazing Spider-Man two complete dead last. So that's where I would put that. Just the amazing way Spider-Man too. Just all the way at the end.

[00:30:25] Jonni Boy: Yeah, it wasn't very good. But it had some good elements. They tried, Sony just needs to sell the rights back.

[00:30:31] Jonni Boy: Just need to give the rights back to MCU and let them do it and play, because they're doing, they're filming Mme. Webb right now. And I believe they're doing another venom, which venom has been, one of the good ones out of the spider universe Morpheus was terrible.

[00:30:47] So Sony just needs to sell the rights back over to Marvel. Let Marvel play with all those characters.

And it happens a lot in every type of media. So I would've preferred just to get like that whole story to know what was going on back then and then know what's happening nowadays.

[00:38:20] But I feel like they were just using that constant back and forth to cover up how, like boring the newer one, like the present day was for him.

[00:38:28] Jonni Boy: I've been blaming COVID on a lot and I think it, it has a lot to do with COVID because, they're just out there trying to do any kind of entertainment during COVID and this was shot during that time.

[00:38:38] And I think that it really probably had a lot to do with production. I think they probably sped up production a little bit too. But when you have Rodriguez directing that episode of the Mandalorian with boa and BOS, just kicking the ass, he's just kicking the storm troopers on that one planet that, baby Yoda grok and the Mandalorian were on while he was in [00:39:00] his force, vision trying to talk to Luke, or whoever was gonna pick him up through the force.

[00:39:04] He was just kicking that butt, and Rodriguez did a great job. And so people were like, oh, this is gonna be so awesome. He's just gonna be out there kicking butt. But it's almost if I played you like a really cool song, And I got right to the Cho and I cut it off. And then I played some campy song, right after it, in your mind, you're still, you're like singing the chorus if you know the song.

[00:39:23] ZaneMan: Yeah.

[00:39:24] Jonni Boy: And not that you knew the song, not that you knew the story, but you're left there in limbo. That part just ended. So what happens? And so you're invested in it and then it goes to something else. And then once you get invested in that, it goes back to that. So it's like this constant back and forth.

[00:39:40] So it, it really would've done the story. If they would've just played all of that in escaping the Sarla, all that stuff that led up to, and then played out all the rest of it.

[00:39:50] ZaneMan: Yeah.

[00:39:50] Jonni Boy: It would've built, I think, a better structure for the show.

[00:39:54] ZaneMan: And I don't think it's the same thing that they did in OB one.

[00:39:56] I think it was a lot better done because OB one was [00:40:00] short segmented sections that very much played into what was already happening. Especially in that one episode, I think it was like four or five where he was thinking about the dual with Anakin and like everything that was happening in the dual was like happening then showing that Anakin never learned.

[00:40:16] Jonni Boy: Yeah. So you were still in that story and then they do the flashback as part of that story and as bringing elements into the modern day of kind of what the characters are thinking, and then you see it from those different aspects, that was a different transition than what we got in Boba with them doing the story, just haphazardly, back and forth.

[00:40:41] Jonni Boy: So she tells the boss to wake up, she's like the dreams are back and then they're lined up to pay their respect. There's a qua Dawn dark strata. And he's a trans ocean. He brings him a Wookie PLP because they kill. Whoops.

[00:40:55] Jonni Boy: Then you got, mock shines as the mayor, but the mayor doesn't show up.

[00:40:59] [00:41:00] It's his major Domo that shows up, from Mo Seba and the surrounding plateaus and he wants tribute and, they're supposed to be paying tribute to Bob fed Bo fats, wait a minute. You're supposed to be paying tribute. And he's I know. And so you had this like back and forth moment, okay, I'm paying tribute.

[00:41:16] No, you're gonna get tribute. Okay. Where's our tribute. So there's this back and forth type of thing. And then the Gamorrean guards, they worked for Jabba and Bib Fortuna

[00:41:24] ZaneMan: Fortuna

[00:41:25] Jonni Boy: Fortuna sorry about that. Lord Fe spared them. So he would work for them. He's if I spare you guys will y'all work for me.

[00:41:31] ZaneMan: Yeah,

[00:41:32] Jonni Boy: will you all be loyal to me? You guys were already loyal too. Will you be loyal to me? So they go into Moss ESBA, saying, says that, Fe should be carried around like the huts, because that's how they show the dominance. And guess what? We get a chance. We see max Rebo in his band they're back.

[00:41:47] We thought that they died on the sail barge, but evidently max and a couple of band members survived.

[00:41:54] ZaneMan: Yeah.

[00:41:54] Jonni Boy: They get, their helmets cleaned by the TWIs. And then Bette gets his back with coins in [00:42:00] it that, and Shannon are attacked on the street. These guys carry force, field shields and, electro staffs.

[00:42:07] And they're losing. Both of them are basically losing cuz they start surrounding them and they can't jump up and finish. Chan's trying to jump up and they can't jump up. So it's not until the gaan cut in, that two of them get away and Phoenix Chan follows them on a rooftop chase. She kills one and the good Morian put fat in the Octa tank cuz he's all, he's tired out.

[00:42:28] He's gotta have another flashback.

[00:42:30] ZaneMan: Yeah. He's you know what? I'm coming out. I'm too tired.

[00:42:33] Jonni Boy: Gotta, I gotta take a nap.

[00:42:34] ZaneMan: It's like nighttime already. I'm gonna head to the back to tank for the night. I'll see you guys in two weeks.

[00:44:45] Jonni Boy: People are hoping for, Kira and the crims and Dawn, but they don't get it. They missed a couple of opportunities here and I believe Kira and the crims and Dawn was one of them being that they had the red and like color and everything.

[00:44:59] Jonni Boy: They really missed an [00:45:00] opportunity here, but that's okay. Finn Chan, interrogate him and then Finn, drops him into the Rancor pit. BU BU BU we all know what happens with the Rancor, but guess what? No Rancor

[00:45:11] Jonni Boy: They didn't have a Rancor so the assassin says he was sent by the mayor and then he finds out there's no Rancor, BU bump bum.

[00:45:21] Jonni Boy: And they're like, shall we visit the mayor? Mayor's been coming up a lot. So Fett, Shand, the assassin and the guards March through Mos Espa and the clerk won't let Boba Fett in. He's like, yeah, Boba Fett. I heard you're not living up to your Fettness.

[00:45:34] ZaneMan: You're not that cool.

[00:45:35] Jonni Boy: You don't have the Bobaness anymore.

[00:45:37] ZaneMan: Come back when you get more cool points

[00:45:39] Jonni Boy: Neither him or the Major Domo or letting Fett and crew walk in Mok Shaiz is, Ithories. He's the new Dimo and Ithories is the hammerhead from the original trilogy.

It gives 'em a reward major. The mayor sends him to Gara sanctuary, and the twins have, laid claim to Jabba's territory.

[00:46:15] And the twins are, like Jabba they're the they're huts.

[00:46:19] ZaneMan: They're the slugs.

[00:46:20] Jonni Boy: Yeah. And they're on this one, platform and these guys are holding it and it's sagging in the end. I felt so bad for those two guys holding up these twins.

[00:46:28] ZaneMan: They're doing a good job though.

[00:46:29] Jonni Boy: Then you see, Black K show up.

[00:46:31] Boba was not, he's not scared.

[00:46:33] ZaneMan: I'm not scared.

[00:46:34] Jonni Boy: I'm not scared.

[00:46:34] ZaneMan: You can't scare me.

[00:46:36] Jonni Boy: Fennec Shand says they have to have permission to kill the huts. So you go to the Bacta tank again. He's like to go I'm,

[00:47:33] Jonni Boy: Yeah. The couple looks like cam and, the fixer from the new hope.

[00:47:41] ZaneMan: Cammy and fixer from Tashi station

[00:47:43] Jonni Boy: Fett , and beats up the gang and takes their speeders.

[00:47:46] Jonni Boy: So he squashes the justice league.

[00:47:48] ZaneMan: No more justice league

[00:47:50] Jonni Boy: there's still justice league, but we think that there's no more justice league.

[00:47:53] ZaneMan: How are you gonna beat the world's greatest detective?

[00:47:55] Jonni Boy: I think you're vengeance.

[00:47:58] Jonni Boy: that's what you gotta do. Fed, [00:48:00] teaches the Tuscans how to ride the speeders, which is funny.

[00:48:04] Jonni Boy: And they're jumping from speeder to speeder, which is hilarious as well.

[00:48:08] Jonni Boy: Boba trains with the gaff stick and the trains coming. So the Tuscans, start shooting people out and setting the Tuscans, take the train from the Pikes that's so we find out who's running the train. And they basically say they have an ancestral claim to the de do sea. And, you Pikes need to pay a toll.

[00:48:26] ZaneMan: Yeah. This is our land.

[00:48:28] Jonni Boy: It's our land, California, to the New York islands. Yeah. To the Redwood forest, to the Gulf stream waters. This land was made for you and me.

[00:48:35] ZaneMan: Ain't no mountain high enough.

[00:48:37] Jonni Boy: Ain't no valley low enough. So the Tuscan Raider, he's still having the vision many tribes. Since the ocean died from what the chief says,

[00:48:45] ZaneMan: just got too hot with those two sons,

[00:48:48] Jonni Boy: he said the off worlds have machines and the chief and has a gift for Fe. Yeah.

[00:48:53] ZaneMan: Wonder what it is.

[00:48:54] Jonni Boy: The gift will guide you. Lizard basically goes up into BOA's [00:49:00] nose. Ew. And he's in and out of his armor and he goes to a tree with voices. It starts to cover vet like the Sarla and then he has a vision of Camino and his dad leaving to breaking branches and a sea of waters, which appears to be on tattooing.

[00:49:18] ZaneMan: It, the old gaff tree,

[00:49:19] Jonni Boy: old gaff tree Fe comes back with a branch to Tuscans wrap, fit in their robes, their Tuscan robes. So now he goes semblance wise to being like in his cream outfit to be in, in all black robes, the Tuscan kid takes the Chieftains, wife, the branch, they make a gaff stick for Boba.

[00:49:40] They show the chief in and he practices over the fire with the Chieftains wife and the Tuscans join in a rich old dance by the fire. Oh, no. Holy.

[00:49:49] ZaneMan: Yeah. Is that what it sounds like?

[00:49:51] Jonni Boy: I don't know if they did that,

[00:49:52] ZaneMan: but did you write that in your notes, as it say, to say though,

[00:49:54] Jonni Boy: I didn't say to say that I just automatically said that I.

[00:49:57] I don't know why,

[00:49:57] ZaneMan: but that's your natural reaction,

[00:49:59] something [00:50:00] like that. So they were, in the fire. So that's the end of episode two or chapter two. We're at book of Boit.

[00:50:08] Jonni Boy: So we moved on to chapter three, the streets of Moss Espa Boba Fett must deal with two very different threats. These synopsis, just this is what it is, man. Dealing with two threats, that's it, buddy.

[00:50:22] Jonni Boy: So we go to Fett's place. We see on the outskirts, a monk droid that we haven't seen those droids are the spider light droids. And they carry the brains of the monks from yeah, from the palace because, fat doesn't own the palace Fortuna For tuna did not own the palace. Jabba didn't own the palace, these monks own the palace.

[00:50:40] ZaneMan: Yeah. It's their palace.

[00:50:41] Jonni Boy: It's their palace. And so now these guys are Roman free with their brains and the jars,

[00:50:46] ZaneMan: you're like, what do we do now?

[00:50:47] Jonni Boy: What's gonna happen now? I don't know, living out here on the streets now, but what fit? Don't kick me out.

[00:50:52] ZaneMan: We're just brains in a jar

[00:50:53] Jonni Boy: brains, in a jar

[00:50:55] ZaneMan: with old spider legs.

[00:51:13] Jonni Boy: Yeah. Lortha Peel. Who's a water monger in the workers. District tells Fett, Hey man, nobody respects you.

[00:51:20] ZaneMan: Ooh,

[00:51:21] Jonni Boy: you're a loser baby. Why don't you kill me?

[00:51:24] ZaneMan: Oh,

[00:51:24] Jonni Boy: he doesn't really say that, but he should say that because he's Fett

[00:51:28] Jonni Boy: And I think Fennec even says, wait a minute. I think she puts her hand on her gun. She’s ready to go. She's more fat than fat.

[00:51:35] Jonni Boy: She's just ready to go. The streets are turning to chaos. There's a street gang stealing his inventory. They're half man, their half machine, half woman, half machine, they modify their bodies with droid parts.

[00:51:47] Jonni Boy: So he go to Mos Espa and they, confront the gang and, fat being the family man that he is be famili.

[00:51:54] ZaneMan: You're trying Spanish

[00:51:55] Jonni Boy: try it. Didn't work though. There's family. Now he offers them. Tells Lortha Peel to [00:52:00] cut his prices and he paid their debt off and he takes their Vespas and their bodies and tells 'em to come on up to the palace. Yo

[00:52:06] ZaneMan: Get on up here, get on up here.

[00:52:09] Jonni Boy: So we go to the Bacta Tank,

[00:52:11] ZaneMan: back to a flashback.

[00:52:12] Jonni Boy: Flashback

[00:52:18] ZaneMan: Friday

[00:52:21] ZaneMan: It's all right.

[00:52:22] Jonni Boy: Dad's leaves on. Bantha Where do the Pikes do their business in Mos Espa he goes by the same storm, trooper helmets and spikes. And then you see Peli Motto Mando's friend and Grogu babysitter with her Gonk Droids walking.

[00:52:36] ZaneMan: Yeah. And she, has a new droid.

[00:52:38] Jonni Boy: Yeah. We don't see that till later. She has a couple of new droid. She has one, at least one new droid,

[00:52:43] ZaneMan: but I remember the new droid cuz it was, it was like very special to me when I saw it.

[00:52:47] Jonni Boy: The Pike's meaning, they've already paid protection to one party and it's the Canton Riders.

[00:52:54] That's the name of the group, the ones that are riding the speeders. So they're still out there.

[00:52:59] ZaneMan: Is that one of [00:53:00] Boba's new threats?

[00:53:01] Jonni Boy: Possibly could be the kids on the Vespas.

[00:53:04] ZaneMan: I knew it

[00:53:05] Jonni Boy: and they've already collected the protection money. Your Tuscans are out, man. I'm sorry.

[00:53:09] ZaneMan: Can't get any money from him now.

[00:53:11] Jonni Boy: So he returns by the Bantha a Tuscan village. I mean he left for five minutes. It was probably longer than that. Cuz the Bantha that takes probably. Four days to get to Mos Espa wherever he went.

[00:53:21] ZaneMan: Bantha's are pretty slow.

[00:53:22] Jonni Boy: So the building was destroyed and JL is on the tents and Boba takes all the bodies.

[00:53:27] All of his buddies, all the Tuscans are dead.

[00:53:29] ZaneMan: Yeah. It's sad to see. He's like walking through. He's like, oh, come on.

[00:53:33] Jonni Boy: You ever been ripped outta your sleep? Just ripped outta your sleep

[00:53:36] ZaneMan: by you all the time.

[00:53:37] Jonni Boy: Like you're sleeping and just get up.

[00:53:39] ZaneMan: Yeah. You

[00:53:39] Jonni Boy: so black K pulls Fett outta the Bacta Tank.

[00:53:42] Imagine just waking up in a Wookie' after you.

[00:53:45] ZaneMan: Yeah.

[00:53:46] Jonni Boy: Have any of your arm or your like all in you’re, under ruse?

[00:53:49] ZaneMan: Yeah. It's what it's like to wake up in this house with you.

[00:53:52] Jonni Boy: The gang surrounds black K black, K tackles the guards down the stairs. And, Fennec Shand traps [00:54:00] him in the Rancor pit.

[00:54:01] Even though there's no, no Rancor he's not too happy about this either. He was kicking some butt too. He had, his fista cuffs were electrolyzed or whatever. Could, shoot energy from,

[00:54:11] ZaneMan: He was like, come at me.

[00:54:12] Jonni Boy: So the twins, Jabba's cousins show up with a gift.

[00:54:15] With a gift, we sent Black Krrsantan to kill you. But the territory is already owned by the mayor. He promised him to another syndicate and the huts are leaving. So you can sell the Wookie he's tribute and they give him a Rancor and trainer. That's what the gift is. So now he's got a Rancor.

[00:54:31] ZaneMan: Yes.

[00:54:32] Jonni Boy: So you got Rancor.

[00:54:33] ZaneMan: You've got a Rancor now.

[00:54:35] Jonni Boy: He says the witches of dathomir they ride the Rancors Fett wants to ride. The keeper, lets the Rancor look on Fett so they can develop a deep bond.

[00:54:44] So now, you got Boba Fett falling in love with Rancor

[00:54:46] ZaneMan: it's pretty romantic.

[00:54:47] Jonni Boy: He was once, talking back to Vader and he was going around killing a bunch of people and capturing a bunch of people. Now he's fall in love with the Rancor.

[00:54:55] ZaneMan: Good for him. Honestly.

[00:54:57] Jonni Boy: This was a love story that we were looking for.

[00:54:59] ZaneMan: I was proud of him

[00:54:59] Jonni Boy: [00:55:00] and they cut away from it. We didn't get much of it.

[00:55:02] ZaneMan: No, they cut back immediately. They didn't care.

[00:55:04] Jonni Boy: They go into town, to the mayor and the biker gang with them. The major Domo escapes on a speeder with the biker gang after him on their Vespas the mayors, with the Pikes show up at the space port.

[00:55:15] We missed another chance for a character here. The girl looks a lot like Arden Lyn from the Masters of Teras Kasi game.

[00:55:22] ZaneMan: I remember.

[00:55:23] Jonni Boy: When I saw the previews initially I even put, I think something on Facebook or our page or wherever it was that this is probably gonna be Arden Lyn

[00:55:33] and it wasn't. I was so dis distorted. Yeah, I was so distorted.

[00:55:37] Jonni Boy: One of the gang called Boba Fett to let him know we're going to war. And we'll be ready.

[00:56:46] ZaneMan: Off the bat, I'm gonna say I liked it more than the last one.

[00:56:48] Jonni Boy: Yeah, I think so too, Washington, DC comic con awesome con,

[00:56:52] ZaneMan: is that where we were?

[00:56:53] Jonni Boy: Yeah.

[00:56:53] ZaneMan: Huh?

[00:56:53] Jonni Boy: District of Columbia. We were near the Presidente.

[00:56:56] ZaneMan: I didn't know that.

[00:56:57] Jonni Boy: Yeah, we could have saw him fall off his bike.

[00:56:59] ZaneMan: Ah, yes. [00:57:00]

[00:57:00] Jonni Boy: June three through the fifth, 2022. And we were there Saturday, June the fourth. It was at the Walter E. Washington convention center. That's where it was.

[00:57:10] Did we see anyone?

[00:57:11] We did see people. We got there and we had to go straight in, get checked in, and get our bags and everything.

[00:57:18] And then immediately go to the first, thing on the main stage

[00:57:22] ZaneMan: was this the one where we walked in and they had, they were like leading us. They had the line and they,

[00:57:28] Jonni Boy: yeah. All the way around to go here, go there. Yeah.

[00:57:31] ZaneMan: To go through a, one of those metal detectors.

[00:57:33] Jonni Boy: Yes. Underneath. And then we went up top and then we went around and then we went around again.

[00:57:38] Then we went upstairs and

[00:57:39] ZaneMan: wait, this was the con, they gave us, a lanyard, right? Yes. And then I still have that lanyard. And then they, we also, this was the first one we actually bought something at.

[00:57:47] Jonni Boy: Yes. Is exactly right. We did buy something at this one. So we immediately go to the main stage at 10 30 to 1115 at spotlight on Shang Chi and the Legends of the 10 Rings cast.

[00:57:59] And it [00:58:00] says a Marvel legend will rise. Join Simu Lou who played Shang Chi Meng'er Zhang as Shang Chi's sister and Florian. I'm not sure what his last name Munteau, I'm sorry. I pronounce that wrong Razor Fist or a Q and A about Shung Chi and the Legend of the 10 Rings. Get to know the cast behind the MCU hit movie. If you aim at nothing, you hit nothing.

[00:58:25] ZaneMan: I think if anything was true about that, I think it's the fact that it's true.

[00:58:29] Jonni Boy: We really enjoyed this panel. This was a really a cool panel because. They had done the karaoke in the movie and they were talking about like fighting and doing the whole scene from the bus.

[00:58:43] And then the sister was just totally unlike her character. She was just so nice and so appreciative. This was a really cool little Q and A get together we were didn't really meet and greet them, but, we saw 'em on the stage,

[00:58:56] ZaneMan: what I remember most, and I have a video of it was them singing.

[00:58:59] I [00:59:00] want it that way.

[00:59:00] Jonni Boy: That was cool.

[00:59:01] ZaneMan: That was super funny.

[00:59:02] Jonni Boy: I was grateful that you got that on video cuz they were, talking about them doing a lot of cut scenes from the movie. I don't know if they'll ever have 'em but doing karaoke and they that's one of the songs, I guess they were singing, but they probably cut it cuz it wasn't strong enough for razor fist, yeah. To be playing, but, and he was talking about how, he was A villain of Wolverines and, it was good to, to watch them talk about this movie and I liked their dynamic and I could see why they were picked for the roles. And I thought she was really sweet. I mean the sister.

[00:59:32] ZaneMan: Yeah.

[00:59:32] Jonni Boy: The guy that played Shang Chi and, Razor Fist. They were just cool dudes.

[00:59:36] ZaneMan: It was a really fun time in that panel.

[00:59:38] Jonni Boy: They did a good job.

[00:59:39] We had a little bit of time in between that. So we probably made our way back downstairs. We had to go way upstairs, I think to the third floor and then way downstairs to the basement or whatever.

[00:59:48] ZaneMan: Whenever we get the first free time of the day, we always just navigate to the,

[00:59:53] Jonni Boy: we hit the floor, like we're Celebs and people like we're like hero chat shows here. We throw open the doors and we do the [01:00:00] superhero. Thing and walk in, with our capes held high

[01:00:02] ZaneMan: and they're all looking at us like, wow, what dweebs?

[01:00:05] Jonni Boy: Yeah. And they're like, who are these guys? Like we're hero, chat show, baby.

[01:00:09] ZaneMan: We got one of our friends to roll out the red carpet for us.

[01:00:12] Jonni Boy: Yeah. I'm like, I'm Johnny boy. That's Zane man. And they're like, oh, can I get your autograph? I'm like, sure, dude.

[01:00:17] ZaneMan: I'm just like, no

[01:00:17] Jonni Boy: sign the autograph.

[01:00:18] ZaneMan: You couldn't afford it.

[01:00:20] Jonni Boy: You're always like $50.

[01:00:21] ZaneMan: Yeah.

[01:00:22] Jonni Boy: Yeah.

[01:00:23] You end up making more money than I do usually.

[01:00:25] ZaneMan: Yeah. Cuz if you're good at something, don't keep it away from free.

[01:00:27] Jonni Boy: We don't actually walk in like that, but it would be nice if we could. One time

[01:00:31] ZaneMan: I would be embarrassed

[01:00:32] Jonni Boy: probably it would probably be embarrass.

[01:00:33] Nobody's gonna recognize us be like, those are the dudes from hero chat show.

[01:00:37] ZaneMan: Whoa. Say something. I wanna hear your voice.

[01:00:39] Jonni Boy: I wanna hear, make sure it's you.

[01:00:40] Jonni Boy: So we went downstairs. It was massive. Goodness gracious like this place, like I think they have secure documents hidden somewhere there.

[01:00:48] Oh, it was so huge. It was like one of those underground bunkers that you see on the TV where they're, have all kinds of movies and stuff that they're storing for whatever purposes. It was huge

[01:00:59] ZaneMan: later in the day [01:01:00] when we were actually going to find something that I wanted to buy, that you said that you would buy for me, we couldn't completely just couldn't find it.

[01:01:06] I was like, I started using like navigation. I was like, all so if you look at the giant star Lord banner, it's gonna be facing that way and you have to pass past the, the drawings of the characters from, Star wars, a new hope through rise of Skywalker. And then you turn take left by the joker and Harley Quinn. It was very funny.

[01:01:26] Jonni Boy: It was no hope for us. We were totally lost. And we did finally find the place that you were looking for to make your purchase. And we didn't do the purchase until later on. So then we go back up to the main stage, at 1:00 PM to 1 45 O dear it's Anthony Daniels.

[01:01:41] He's fluent in over 6 million forms of communications, Anthony Daniels, best known as C 3 PO AKA 3 PO in Star Wars is the only actor to have either appeared or been involved with in pretty much every iteration of star wars magic. That's some serious star wars, dedication. Join Anthony for a Q and A about [01:02:00] everyone's favorite shiny guy, C 3 PO.

[01:02:02] It's against his programming to impersonate a deity, but we totally worship Anthony Daniels.

[01:02:07] ZaneMan: He was funny. He had a great panel. He was very good working with the crowd.

[01:02:11] Jonni Boy: He was like, Shatner he was over the top. And he was funny.

[01:02:14] ZaneMan: My only problem was his panel was that he would constantly go into the audience.

[01:02:19] And, half the time his cameras just were not following him.

[01:02:22] Jonni Boy: Yeah. They didn't know where he was. I like when he asked, is anybody in here not seen star wars, anybody in here not seen star wars. And I think there was one young girl and he brought her up on the stage and he's what star wars is about.

[01:02:34] And she's I don't know. I've never seen star war. And somebody answered and he's that's not it. Yeah. Cuz they were like, it's about a Jedi. It's about this. About that's not it. And somebody said it's about a droid. You know what C three PO and they were like, that's exactly right.

[01:02:47] it's all about C three P

[01:02:49] ZaneMan: I have a video. It's not a very good video it's of the screen and you can barely hear it, but he's like talking to this one girl and he's now tell me, how does it feel to stand next to a god?

[01:02:59] Jonni Boy: Yeah, he was [01:03:00] really playing up the deity in that, story of Return of the Jedi when the Ewoks recognized him as a deity and all that, it was really funny.

[01:03:08] It was really over the top and he reminded me a lot of Shatner in that panel. And we stuck around for the main stage, because right after that, it was a be witching Sabrina, the teenage witch cast reunion, the Spellman's have zapped into awesome con join Hilda Zelda, and of course, Sabrina for magic, mayhem, and mischief.

[01:03:31] As we geek out over Sabrina, the Teenage Witch. Beth Broderick Aunt Zelda, Caroline Ray, Aunt Hilda, and Melissa Joan Hart, Sabrina are ready to answer your bewitching questions. Everyone's life could use a touch ping of magic.

[01:03:48] ZaneMan: I really liked their panel.

[01:03:49] Jonni Boy: They were really good. I've never even really probably watched a whole show, to be honest with you.

[01:03:55] I don't know how we turned around. We were in that panel, but we both wanted to go to that panel.

[01:03:59] ZaneMan: I've seen it. I've [01:04:00] seen the show.

[01:04:00] Jonni Boy: You've seen the show. So I've seen the show and I've watched some episodes, but I don't know if I could tell you that I've watched a complete episode of the show.

[01:04:07] ZaneMan: Yeah,

[01:04:08] Jonni Boy: but I know about the show and I know its popularity.

[01:04:10] ZaneMan: I really wanted to stick around, but, at some point, like halfway, not even halfway through, you wanted to go see somebody else that was starting up.

[01:04:18] Jonni Boy: Yeah. So we wanted to leave and go. They were telling some really good stories. And I remember Aunt Hilda, Caroline Ray was talking about she's if you watch the first season of that show, she like points her wand and looks away cuz she knows something's gonna blow up.

[01:04:32] ZaneMan: Yeah.

[01:04:32] Jonni Boy: And she hadn't quite gotten used to it. If you're watching the first season, you'll see me like look over there and I'll look away real quick, cuz something's gonna blow up. She's they would show. On the set and they'd be dressed a chicken in a tuxedo.

[01:04:44] ZaneMan: Yeah.

[01:04:45] Jonni Boy: That was like a normal day for them. They had to have practical effects when they did that show.

[01:04:49] ZaneMan: It was funny cuz aunt Hilda said that, they would have the, like a little thing that would ring for the cat. So the cat would look at like where they wanted it to. And she said like after one full day she was trained [01:05:00] completely. Cuz she would look whenever they rung it.

[01:05:02] Jonni Boy: Whenever the cat was supposed to look at a thing, she would actually look at it. And so she wasn't supposed to do that and they were also talking about the outfits cuz they would always do a little twirl and I guess do the magic and change outfits.

[01:05:12] They said, they would have to stop kind of mark where they were go back into, the same pose that they were in and be in the new outfit . So I thought all those little stories of the behind the scenes, even though I probably haven't seen a full show was just really cool.

[01:05:28] ZaneMan: Yeah.

[01:05:28] Jonni Boy: We went around the corner to room, 2 0 4, from two 30 to three 15 to see Timothy Zhan, he's a Star Wars writer. He's one of the guys that if you don't already know, brought back star wars for my generation that ended with Return of the Jedi. And after 83, we weren't getting any Star Wars it says here. Sometimes victory is greater than the warrior could ever hope for get to know the talented science fiction author, Timothy Zhan Thrawn Heir to the empire and Thrawn Ascendancy Lesser [01:06:00] Evil known for his prolific collection of Star Wars books. Chiefly the Thrawn series. He'll be taken the stage to answer your burning questions about Grand Animal Thrawn, fantastic writing, and the world of Star Wars.

[01:06:13] Jonni Boy: That's Heir to the empire, those books. When they came out, there was a trilogy of three, was just so cool. And that was the only Star Wars we were getting. Now they've been classified as legends now, but I have those books and I really wanted to take one of them with me or all of them and get 'em to sign, the books that, I had, but didn't end up doing that.

[01:06:32] ZaneMan: Yeah. I think he means a lot to you because you actually ended up, naming my sister.

[01:06:37] Jonni Boy: That's the story that is not supposed to be told, but yeah. Maura is named after Mara Jade. We would tell people that she was named after Maura Tierney from ER,

[01:06:46] ZaneMan: that's not true, is it?

[01:06:48] Jonni Boy: No, she was named after Mar Jade, but she has a U in her name.

[01:06:51] So Mara, M A R A and our Maura. My daughter is M A U R A. Yeah, Luke Skywalker's, wife, the emperor's hand that's when my daughter is named [01:07:00] after.

[01:07:00] Jonni Boy: So that was interesting. We had a good time there. It kinda, we probably wish we would've stayed in Sabrina cuz the energy level in his panel wasn't as high.

[01:07:08] ZaneMan: It really died down.

[01:07:09] Jonni Boy: I mean it was good. We appreciated the talk and about the books and stuff, but if you're really not a follow over the books, what, like I knew you weren't, Thrawn and you've seen, rebels and some of the other things that he's been in, but you didn't know about this author and you don't know about those books.

[01:07:23] If you would've known it might have interest you more. Yeah. But I think Sabrina, the teenage witch, we probably would've stayed in cuz it would've held more of our focus.

[01:07:33] ZaneMan: I don't even think that's it fully. I just, I don't know what it, the, the full story about it is of why his was so low down for me.

[01:07:40] But like even some of the people that I haven't known very well, like when we were talking about William Shatner, you like to say, I didn't know anything about him, but I've seen him in some things, but, even if I don't know the person that we're going to see, I can still end up enjoying their panel.

[01:07:53] Jonni Boy: And it wasn't terrible. I was really excited to be there and see him. And like I said, I really wish I would've taken my trilogy cuz [01:08:00] I'm not sure some of those might be first editions. Originally to have his signature on it. So one day I'll have to, do that.

[01:08:05] If he's back at another one, I'll have to bring my books during the. So then we went back to the main stage at four 15 to 5:00 PM out in space with Anthony Rapp and Wilson Cruz. Everyone's favorite space dads are out at awesome con join Anthony Rapp, Lieutenant commander, Paul Stamets, Wilson Cruz, Dr. Hugh Culber or conversation about pushing forward progress in new frontiers. They're the first two gay lead characters on a Star Trek show. And they're ready to, field your questions about Star Trek, Discovery, musical theater, and being yourself at the edge of the universe discovery begins.

[01:08:42] So I enjoyed that panel with them on it.

[01:08:46] ZaneMan: Did you?

[01:08:47] Jonni Boy: I did. Did you like it?

[01:08:49] ZaneMan: I didn't know much about them, so it was pretty fun at some points.

[01:08:53] Jonni Boy: Discovery's not my favorite. Like I've sit on this show previous, I'm more of a Star Wars fan than [01:09:00] Star Trek. Some people are more, Star Trek than Star Wars, but to me, Star Trek never really had the special effects.

[01:09:08] Now, the ones that they're doing on, paramount? Are better. I believe. Strange New Worlds is the best one that they've done, but I really like these two guys. I haven't watched all of season four yet. I need to finish watching season four, but I did watch all of, Strange New Worlds in Picard

[01:09:22] and so I do watch the shows, but it's not something that we typically talk about on here, unless we're at the con. And we're seeing Shatner or somebody else from Star Trek because it does still hold for me. And I have seen. Those things in the media. And I do watch 'em and enjoy them, but they're not Star Wars.

[01:09:41] ZaneMan: Yeah.

[01:09:41] Jonni Boy: So they don't hold as high regard, but, it was still a great panel. I enjoyed, seeing those two guys and seeing their love of theater and their just their, love of star Trek and the things that they're involved in was really great. For everyone that was involved. .

[01:09:57] ZaneMan: I can't say much about them cuz I never [01:10:00] watched their show, but they seemed like good people. So I'm assuming that they're good actors as well. Especially with how they're, how many people were there?

[01:10:05] Jonni Boy: It was really a good time. We really enjoyed it. And so what is this, the third con that we've been to

[01:10:12] ZaneMan: third or fourth? I'm pretty sure it's the third.

[01:10:14] Jonni Boy: So we went to Galaxy Con. And we went to Tidewater Con and then AwesomeCon I think that's it. Yeah, I think that's it. So how would you, rank the cons? What would be your number one, two and three?

[01:10:26] ZaneMan: Do you mean people that were there overall or just, the con itself?

[01:10:32] Jonni Boy: I would think the people that were there and overall together.

[01:10:35] ZaneMan: All right.

[01:10:36] So just like everything together. Yeah. Let's see. Honestly, I think I would rank it. Third is the best awesome con is the best and it really held up to its name. And then I'd probably say galaxy con next. Tara strong was really fun to go see. And then, who else was there?

[01:10:52] Jonni Boy: You had Shatner and you had Shatner and, Evangeline Lilly from Evangeline Lily, man.

[01:10:58] ZaneMan: They were all great. And then [01:11:00] the one that we, the one that awesome con, they had all great people there. I don't know. I liked seeing, what was his name? John Wesley ship. I like seeing him there.

[01:11:07] Jonni Boy: A tired water con,

[01:11:09] ZaneMan: but everyone else was just he's the only one I remember.

[01:11:11] Jonni Boy: Really. Yeah. I would think the same thing. I really feel like awesome con was pretty awesome.

[01:11:16] ZaneMan: I would say in one word, if I had to put one word on awesome con I would probably say awesome.

[01:11:21] Jonni Boy: So huge, so many different, venue or, what do you call it? People that are selling stuff there. That whole bottom floor, the panels, I just feel like they had it pretty well put together. For the place and galaxy con the same thing. I feel like they had a pretty good structure in play.

[01:11:36] ZaneMan: Yeah.

[01:11:37] Jonni Boy: I would say that it would be helpful to have a book like galaxy con does.

[01:11:42] ZaneMan: Yeah. That was really helpful. Do you still have that?

[01:11:45] Jonni Boy: I do still have it. And it's good to be able to look back over that. That's our last con that we've been to. I don't know if we'll go to anymore this year.

[01:11:52] We're gonna go to, galaxy con Raleigh, but we ended up not going. So it might be the last con that we talk about for a little while.

[01:11:59] ZaneMan: I would like [01:12:00] to go to another one I've really enjoyed going to him.

[01:12:02] Jonni Boy: Yeah. I think there's one more coming up where black, C is gonna be at.

[01:12:06] ZaneMan: Oh, wow.

[01:12:07] Jonni Boy: I think it's up in Northern Virginia.

[01:12:08] I have to see when the dates are, so we might talk about one more. That's gonna be local to us, but this will be the last con that we're talking about. But I agree with you. Awesome. Con number one, galaxy con two Tidewater con three.

[01:12:23] ZaneMan: Yeah.

[01:12:23] Jonni Boy: I think, all of have similar things, it's just the level of guest and the level of, how everything is put together, I think is what matters because you want, the stuff in a certain package to be able to follow along, like with the book and know where things are happening and you wanna be able to go to some good panels.
