Jonni Boy:Welcome to the Hero Chat Show, where we will share a movie that we've seen, a movie coming up, a TV show, one coming soon, possibly a video game. It's mostly dc Marvel and Star Wars. I'm Jonni Boy.

Jonni Boy:And today we have a special guest

P Lantern:What's up guys?
ZaneMan:He lantern.
P Lantern:Yeah. P Lantern. That's a good one.
Jonni Boy:Yes. So today we are discussing Black Adam. Yep. We are also discussing the She Hawk TV show.
ZaneMan:That sounds right.
Jonni Boy:5, 6, 7, 8, and nine.
ZaneMan:It's gonna take really long time.
Jonni Boy:It won't take that long. It's a new year, new amount of time we have. And we'll also be looking at the game Gotham Knights,
ZaneMan:which we both me and P Lantern Black P here together.
P Lantern:Yeah, it was a co-op there,
Jonni Boy:We're gonna get right into it with the movie.
ZaneMan:I guess it's up to you, Doug. Let's do it.
Daddylacus:It's the Hero movie.
Jonni Boy:All right. So Black Adam,
ZaneMan:yeah. I mean, usually he just goes right in, right into it. I guess he's waiting for me to say something.
P Lantern:Yes, sir. Black Adam. Yep. That was a movie.
Jonni Boy:Yeah. Warner Brothers New Line Cinema DC Entertainment. Black Adam Release date was October the 21st, 2022. Now showing on H B O Max starring, you smell what the rock is cooking. Dwayne Johnson is Black Adam 10th Adam.
ZaneMan:Dwayne the Paper Johnson. Everyone knows them.
P Lantern:Yeah. Dwayne. Yeah. Dwayne the Scissors Johnson.
Jonni Boy:Aldi Hodge as Hawkman slash Carter Hall.
ZaneMan:Yep. I, I don't know who that is. I forgot.
Jonni Boy:Former James Bond himself, Pierce Bron as Dr. Fate Kent Nelson.
ZaneMan:Oh yeah, I knew that one.
Jonni Boy:And it's directed by Hamme Collette, Sierra. IM b d says nearly 5,000 years after he was bestowed by the Almaty powers of the Egyptian gods and imprisoned just as quickly black Adam is freed from his earthly tomb ready to unleash his unique form of justice on the modern world,
ZaneMan:unique form of justice. He is an anti-hero.
Jonni Boy:And we'll probably get into this a little bit later on, but there's been a lot of st going on in the new D C U, not the Dceu.
ZaneMan:Yeah.
Jonni Boy:With, uh, the guy that was doing, um, you know, that movie, guardians of the Galaxy.
ZaneMan:James Gunn,
Jonni Boy:James Gunn and Pete Saturn have taken over. So we'll talk a little bit about that in the middle of, I'm sure, the black Adam. So it starts off in conduct 200 b c e before the common era. King Octa uses the army to seize power and become a tyrant obsessed with dark magic. Octa's real goal was to forge the crown of sabic, infused with the power of six demons to make the crown he needed. Etherium,
ZaneMan:EUM,
Jonni Boy:EUM.
ZaneMan:is this the first time that's been brought up, like chronologically?
Jonni Boy:Probably within the DC shows? I don't remember being brought up before
P Lantern:in the dC entertainment universe. It's the first time it's been brought up, that's for sure.
Jonni Boy:One of his enslaved people found the Etherium and is killed by the king's men. A boy who helped the old man steals the Etherium, try to unite the slaves. And if you look close in this scene, you will see the rock.
ZaneMan:He's there.
Jonni Boy:He's there.
ZaneMan:Where is he?
Jonni Boy:He's like he, when the boy goes to the other side after the old man is killed, he's right beside him.
ZaneMan:He's right beside him. He's right there. He's right there, right there. He's right there.
Jonni Boy:if you don't look quick enough, you might not have realized that. Who he is.
ZaneMan:Like P You see him?
P Lantern:Yeah. I saw him. I was watching the movie eating food and was like, oh,
ZaneMan:oh. He was right there.
Jonni Boy:So the council warriors gave the boy the stamina of Shu. The swiftness of Haru, the strength of Ahman, the wisdom of Zeti, the power of aan, the courage of Meehan Shaza.
ZaneMan:are you surprised you got through that?
P Lantern:He definitely pronounced something wrong.
ZaneMan:Yeah, bud. I'm surprised he got through it at all. Like that was tough for him.
Jonni Boy:Shazam
ZaneMan:Shazam
P Lantern:Shazam.
Jonni Boy:the champion beat the king with the crown and the wizards hid the crown of Sabec and the champion was never heard from again
ZaneMan:until today.
Jonni Boy:You segued right into it. Khandaq present day, inner gang, a group of international mercies. We see Ahman pulling a back to the future, move using vehicles to pull him on his skateboard. Ahman almost rolls by the inner gang. Check boy with a van waiting to get checked out with three men. Ahman was a diversion. The van was hiding his mother Adriano.
ZaneMan:Yeah, those, mercies they usually hiding someone.
Jonni Boy:Van drives out to the desert while we find, out. Adriana has a family heirloom of Etherium, a necklace.
ZaneMan:It's always like a necklace or a ring or something. It's just like, oh yeah, this, this is important.
Jonni Boy:We'll see that, later on in the movie. They're looking for the crown of SABIC inside a mountain. And, Adriana's brother stays with the van while the other three journey into the mountain and Ishma vanishes and Samir goes to look for him while Adriana searches for the crown.
ZaneMan:You waiting for me to say something? I don't know. Uike she has a necklace and the kid has a skateboard.
P Lantern:Yeah. Why is the necklace always someone's grandma's necklace?
ZaneMan:Well, because someone's grandma is always like the most important character, it's like every grandma is as important as the ratin endgame.
Jonni Boy:That is true. So Samir falls to the ground dying near Kareem, who's out in the van, and 10 armored men shoot him to make, make sure he is dead. Ishmael turns up andsaid Samir needed some air. It's the first indication that some, uh, nefarious things might be going on.
ZaneMan:Yeah. I mean, they always be lying. Yep. I feel like this is a very basic movie start.
P Lantern:It is also, it's not armored, it's armed. They did not have armor on. They were armed with like weapons and stuff. You said 10 armored men.
Jonni Boy:They have they had armor on too, didn't they really? No, they were not. Like, they had like Kevlar on, didn't they?
P Lantern:That's not armored though.
Jonni Boy:Oh, well that's what I put down.
ZaneMan:Seems like black p is taking my job of correcting him.
Jonni Boy:I know. He always does. Just so you know, and just so, e lantern will understand as well. We might not go over every single aspect of the movie. there probably some things we're gonna skip people can watch the movie and look at the minutia of the,movie. They continue to search, and find a tomb of the 10th Adam slave who became champion and defeated the king. They find the crown and Adriana climbs to get to it, and the men with guns enter with Kareem and capture isel.
P Lantern:You mean the armed men?
Jonni Boy:That's right.
ZaneMan:He was worried he is gonna mess it up again. So he avoided the word altogether.
Jonni Boy:That's right. That's what I do. they shot at Adriana and she hides until they put a gun to her brother Kareem's head. They capture her over the tomb. They take the crown, they surround her and ask any last words. They're, they're just asking for it. And what does she say?
ZaneMan:she wants to thank her mom and dad and her grandma for getting her here. And her teachers. I don't, I'm guessing
Jonni Boy:she's like, hello there.
ZaneMan:I'm assuming I'm right on the money right now.
Jonni Boy:She's like, Shaza.
ZaneMan:She said, Shazam.
Jonni Boy:She said Shazam. And a big explosion and a mysterious figure up here.
ZaneMan:Wait, what'd she say? What?
P Lantern:Yeah. Repeat that
Jonni Boy:Shazam
P Lantern:one more time.
Jonni Boy:Shazam.
ZaneMan:Oh, Shazam.
P Lantern:Oh, I didn't catch him. The first few time
Jonni Boy:the men with guns surround her and one goes to check him out or surround the guy 10th, Adam electrocutes him from skin to Bones. They open fire and 10th Adam says your magic is weak.
ZaneMan:I mean, when you can disintegrate someone, you would think that bullets are weak, I guess.
Jonni Boy:I mean, they're just shooting at him and he just disintegrates that kid all the way down to his bone.
P Lantern:So what's, what's his name again?
Jonni Boy:Teth. Adam.
P Lantern:There you go.
Jonni Boy:Teth Adam raises up off the ground and Adrian and Kareem fl Teth adam takes on the armed men and flies outside of the cave. Now, you know, we're in a cave,
ZaneMan:uh oh. Oh,
Jonni Boy:That's where we were the whole time.
ZaneMan:I was just confused. I don't think you set up the scene very well. Yeah. I need you to tell me the exact date, time, and, uh, area that it's set in every time.
Jonni Boy:So Adrian and, and Kareem take off in the van with the Crown Teth. Adam takes on two helicopters, a dozen armored trucks, and many mercenaries in slow motion with painted black plane by the Rolling Stones in the background.
ZaneMan:I'm sorry, you said mercenary. I thought these were mercies.
Jonni Boy:Yep. That.
ZaneMan:Oh, okay. They're, they're both there.
Jonni Boy:One mercenary shoots him with an eter rocket in wounds. Teth Adam, but also makes him stronger. He flies away and crashes down almost immediately. And Adriana has her brother get him in the van because, you know, he's an electrician.
ZaneMan:I mean like Teth Adam, he has the powers electricity. He's an electrician.
P Lantern:Same thing.
ZaneMan:You're the exact same thing
Jonni Boy:at the same superpowers. Two erum bikes in the sky and they call the mercenaries. Only Ishmail is alive. Cause he shoots the main guy, I guess, for not being able to control of the situation.
ZaneMan:That's his fault,
P Lantern:honestly. That's on him. It's a skill issue.
ZaneMan:I was gonna say, it's only a skill issue.
Jonni Boy:Yeah. So you know, no HR here. Hawk Man's Estate in Louisiana. Carter Hall Hawkman is watching news footage of Teth Adam, Amanda Waller comes on the screen. He says wheels up in 30. Amanda says, who's on the team? We meet Maxine, a k a Cyclone, wind manipulation powers, computer skills. Smart as hell.
ZaneMan:I think that you shouldn't have needed these many people on a team. I think like, like one or two people would've been fine.
Jonni Boy:Well, they had her and they had Adam Smasher
ZaneMan:because I think adam Smasher did a lot more damage than he helped in this movie.
Jonni Boy:True.
P Lantern:And, that Cyclone girl was pretty bad as all things go. Ike she didn't really add much.
Jonni Boy:She had that win element. Yeah. Tornado. You know, Cyclone Al Rothstein is the nephew to the original Adam, Smasher plus Kent Nelson Dr. Fate Magic to fight Magic is what he says. Carter tells Amanda to find a cell to hold Teth Adam and they'll take care of the rest.
ZaneMan:I think the, I forgot all their names already. Geez, man. You're really, I mean, where are we even, you didn't even set up the location
P Lantern:Cyclone.
Jonni Boy:I said we were at Hawkeye's Estate. I mean, haw Man's estate.
ZaneMan:Hawkeye's Estate,
Jonni Boy:yeah.
ZaneMan:Are we in Marvel
Jonni Boy:Christmas time?
P Lantern:Yeah. Hawkeye.
ZaneMan:Oh, I think Dr. Fate and his friend could have all done this themselves.
P Lantern:Oh yeah. Big time.
ZaneMan:so I don't know what the other two are there for.
P Lantern:oh, we forgot the part where they were like flirting with each other, the entire movie.
ZaneMan:They were, but we didn't get to the entire movie yet.
P Lantern:Oh, sorry.
ZaneMan:Yeah, it's fine.
Jonni Boy:Cyclone asks what's the op Hawkman says they're headed to conduct, to apprehend an, a class, metahuman Rogue Metahuman. We find out from Dr. Fate, they're the Justice Society and they fly out on an infant metal ship. That launches from a man's garden
P Lantern:like the X-Men ship from Professor Xavier.
Jonni Boy:And I don't know when I should say this or when I shouldn't say this, but I feel like the ship was shaped a certain way.
ZaneMan:what way is it shaped? shaped
Jonni Boy:like a penis.
ZaneMan:Whoa, whoa.
Jonni Boy:I'm just gonna say it.
ZaneMan:whoa. Yeah. That's an opinion.
Jonni Boy:Yeah, it was to me. I mean, I know that's childish and everything, but that's what every time I looked at the ship I was like, now come on. They couldn't have been done a better design than this. See, seriously,
P Lantern:I mean, it's probably aerodynamic
Jonni Boy:That's probably true.
P Lantern:That's with the term helicopter in this,
Jonni Boy:when, you know, when resistant Teth Adam wakes up and amman's, DC poster filled room. And he burns a hole in the Superman poster and fixes his own injury. Ahman talks to Teth, Adam said he's been in a tomb for 5,000 years until mom woke you up stopping bullets. He's got that check, flying check, lightning check. I love how they, you know, always say what kind of powers they have.
ZaneMan:Yeah. But it's important to set up and they always choose to do it the same way. Set up the exact same time.
P Lantern:They got some stupid nerd like in the Shaza movies. Like, what powers do you have?
ZaneMan:You liked Darla in the Shaza movies.
P Lantern:Yeah. Shas,
Jonni Boy:Adriana comes home to read the inscription on the crown. Life is the only path to death. This will come into play later on. Ahman is trying to talk, to Teth Adam, to be conduct's Hero and Teth Adam walks. Through the wall to the other room with Kareem and Adriana. and he fries a tv,
ZaneMan:honestly, around the house. That's exactly how Black PX just,
Jonni Boy:yeah, he just goes through the walls,
ZaneMan:walking through walls, zap and tv. I mean, it's all he does ever.
Jonni Boy:Well, we, gotta get a new tv like every time we turn around
P Lantern:except one more thing. Oh, yeah. Raid the pantry every time I come over.
Jonni Boy:Oh, that's true too. He brought his own food today,
ZaneMan:but he also proceeded to steal our food as well. I don't know if you know that.
Jonni Boy:Well, I gave him some food, so.
ZaneMan:No, he stole something from the pantry as well.
Jonni Boy:Oh, that's all right. I'm sure he put it in his coat pocket when he went in your room.
P Lantern:Hey, that's my thing. You don't need to know that.
Jonni Boy:I knew that he had gotten a Debbie cake. Yeah. Not, not sponsored by the way, just I know he got a Debbie cake.
ZaneMan:Yeah. Well, just don't say that. It's a Debbie cake.
Jonni Boy:Okay. I won't say it's a Debbie cake Budge around. Or Star Crunch.
ZaneMan:Okay. Don't say either of those things cuz that I won't, they'll think that we're sponsored and we're not.
Jonni Boy:I'm not gonna say that at all.
ZaneMan:What was it though?
Jonni Boy:It was a star crunch or a fudge round.
ZaneMan:Okay. Just avoid those two words to the rest of,
Jonni Boy:won't say it at all. Okay.
ZaneMan:Don't say Star Crunch or Fudge Round.
Jonni Boy:I won't say Star Crunch or Fu Round anymore. Okay. Adriana wants the champion to free conduct from inner gang Teth. Adam walks through another wall into the hall, Ahman follows at Teth Adam and says he needs a new, catchphrase and name and should lead into the black since he wears it. Teth Adam leaves the building.
ZaneMan:are you gonna talk about? The catchphrase that he says throughout the entire movie.
Jonni Boy:Uh, but you can,
ZaneMan:I don't remember what it was. I was gonna ask you if you.
P Lantern:I mean, you're the notes guy.
Jonni Boy:Tell him the men in Black sent you.
ZaneMan:Oh yeah. Tell him the men black sent you. That was, I mean, honestly,
Jonni Boy:he was killing the guys before he could tell'em.
ZaneMan:Yeah. I liked that catch phrase. I liked the part, uh, where he killed the guy and then said it, I don't like the where the kid comes. I was like, no, say it before. I like the main part where he killed the guy and said it after.
Jonni Boy:Yeah, it's pretty good. The Justice Society flying to conduct with Dr., Fate and Carter discussing their plan. Bad plan is better than any planet. No plan at all. Dr., Fate knows if Teth Adam says Shazam, he will lose his power.
ZaneMan:He's still like, powerful. He's like, cool. Yeah. He's kind of, if you think about it, he's kind of sick with it. So,
P Lantern:oh, for real.
Jonni Boy:True. Teth, Adam flies out, to his statue. Ahman gets inner gang to follow him. Adriana saves her son Teth. Adam then has a showdown with inner gang Zaps all five and says, tell'em the men in blacks since you Yeah, after they were already killed.
ZaneMan:kid comes out, he's like, no, he had to saved before it doesn't work. And he's like, whining and, you know, he's a kid.
Jonni Boy:But it was like a showdown because he had, you know, when he zapped a movie, it was a movie where he was getting ready to draw his pistol. So he kind of had his hand near, uh, his hip before he did the electricity. I dunno if you, if you noticed that or not, Justice Society shows up with Teth Adam holding two inner gang high up in the air, and Carter jumps out of the plane as Hawkman and Dr. Fate joins him, leaving Cyclone and Adam Smasher on the plane. Hawkman saves the two inter gang Teth Adam kills them.
ZaneMan:I mean, it's kind of in the name. Well, did we say what Teth means? No. All right, well, we'll, we won't spoil it. It means death.
Jonni Boy:There you go. Just spoiled it. Wait, wait. We didn't tell'em there was gonna be spoilers if they hadn't seen the movie yet.
P Lantern:since you're already like half an hour in, there will be spoilers for the shows and movies.
Jonni Boy:Just wanna make sure that they realize there's a couple spoilers we have to talk about. Aman tells Teth Adam that they are the Justice Society. Dr. Fate tells him there's no place in the world of man. Adam Hawkman and Dr. Fate fighting the streets of conduct. Dr. Fate strikes 10th Adam by sending him back to his time, uh, 10th Adams time. So Hawkman can punch him and tell him to say Suzanne so they can go home. But that doesn't happen.
ZaneMan:Oh, I thought, I thought he was gonna do it. So he could say, telling the men in black sent you.
P Lantern:Oh yeah.
ZaneMan:I mean, cuz that's the only reasonable thing to say.
Jonni Boy:Yeah. He hadn't said The men in Blacken, a man and Teth Adam take their fight into the air while Cyclone and Adam Smasher suit up on the plane. Dr. Fate calls them from the plane and they jump out. Cyclone uses wind to whip up the scaffolding and throws it at 10th Adam and traps him. Dr. Fate saves Adriana and Amman teleporting them to a higher street level and releases, um, Adriana and finds out she has the crown of.
ZaneMan:I mean honestly, poor construction workers facts, they had to set up all that stuff and then here comes Cyclone just being like, oops, winded away.
P Lantern:Oops. I threw it. I threw it all in the trash
Jonni Boy:and they're just knocking it down too, so
P Lantern:And that was Adam Smasher.
ZaneMan:Yeah, adam Smasher. He just like got all big and then he just fell in a building. That's all he did.
P Lantern:He just kept breaking stuff.
Jonni Boy:Hawkman and Teth Adam continue to fight and many Dr. Fate join in wrestling. Teth Adam, just as Dr. Fate, Cyclone and Hawkman are about to do 10th Adam and a big lightning explosion lights up the sky while Adam Smasher trying to find the fight. He knows where it's at now. Adam Smasher catches Teth Adam and knocks him out, or he kind of holds him down.
ZaneMan:So this is really off topic, but it's got my brain going. How do you think Adam Smasher would stealth something?
Jonni Boy:Probably couldn't. He's too big. Exactly. Unless he was regular size and then'Ched up.
P Lantern:Well, I was gonna say you could like run in with like regular stuff on and then gets super big right in the middle of everything and he would steal for totally like say he was like grabbing like a little box or something. He runs and he grabs the box and then do escape. He just turned to, he's already accomplished what he needs to stealth for.
ZaneMan:Yeah, I guess so. I mean, Imwe will get in his stealth later with the video game because someone here doesn't know how to stealth a mission.
Jonni Boy:Yo, I'm goaded.
ZaneMan:We'll talk about it later.
Jonni Boy:the crowd in the streets. Chant long-lived the champion Teth Adam flies away and the justice o discusses how they were defeated Justices justice. All right. Change the name of the group. Yeah. You're society just sounds so. Silly Sounds better. Yeah,
ZaneMan:I think I like Cisco.
Jonni Boy:It brings a little bit of umph, you know, to the name.
P Lantern:Oh yeah. Little something.
Jonni Boy:A little bit of something. Something.
ZaneMan:Yeah, definitely.
Jonni Boy:Yeah. Dr. Fate confronts Adriana about the crown and she confronts them right back about where they have been for 27 years. Burn. It's not until, they know that they have a champion that the Justice Society shows up. Burn.
ZaneMan:Burn.
P Lantern:Yeah. Burn.
Jonni Boy:She burned.
ZaneMan:What are we talking? I I'm completely lost. I got distracted.
P Lantern:Well, so they like talked to Adriana cuz she has the crown and the Hawkman was like you. And she was like, wow, you got, we've been waging war on these mercenary guys for like 27 years. Merc Mercer. Mercers Mercies. Mercery guys. Mercies and guys show up now like,
ZaneMan:right. Yeah. I remember. And she was like, yeah, we gotta get Teth Adam over here.
Jonni Boy:Yeah. Teth. Adam. Yeah. Justice Society follows Adriana to the temple. 10th Adam went, um, to after the crowd chanting 10th Adam is looking at the statue of himself outside the temple. She says 10th Adam is after revenge and they flashback to the king, almost getting the crown. And 10th Adam flying in with his anger power Ru and he became uncontrollable and he blew up the temple. The council wizards forced to deem you unworthy, she says, and they trapped 10th Adam. Adriana did not open death Adam's tomb, but is prison. She wants him to be a Hero.
P Lantern:Hey, real quick, you missed a few things, not to get in every minute Deep
Jonni Boy:told you I wasn't gonna get in the minutia of the Justice Society.
ZaneMan:Where are we?
P Lantern:Um, real quick? Uh, It's Teth Adam. You keep calling him 10th of
Jonni Boy:I know. I'm gonna say that the whole time. Probably
ZaneMan:the 10th of the Adams.
P Lantern:Oh. Oh, okay. Anyways, he killed a couple of the wizards while they were trying to cage him. You forgot that part, which is important for the Shazam movies.
Jonni Boy:True, true.
P Lantern:So that's one of those details. It's not like as minute as you think it is. It's kinda like one of the ones it's like, well, all the other wizards died. Why?
Jonni Boy:Yeah. Cuz there was like one, one old guy left. Yeah. Yeah. At the, uh, at Shazam
P Lantern:because he is the one who finally put him the prison and then, you know.
Jonni Boy:I did not realize that. Ahman goes home and Ishmail is there to get the crown. Kareem tackles ishmail and gets shot.
ZaneMan:He's dead.
Jonni Boy:Bump bump. Um,
ZaneMan:well, they're dead.
Jonni Boy:The Justice Society beats with Teth Adam. Ahman calls Adriana to let her know Ishma is alive and wants to crown And inner gang is in the building. She wants Teth Adam to save her son. Inner gang surrounds the inside of the building and Ahman attempts to escape on his skateboard. A attorney bike captures him, uh, releases him with Teth Adam attacks. Ishmael captures Ahman to find not any crown, and he escapes on the attorney bike with Teth Adam In Pursuit. Several bikes are in the air and Teth Adam and the Justice Society assists him. Teth Adam crashes the last speeder bike and doesn't save Amman.
ZaneMan:You know, when I was watching this movie, I was wondering where did the bikes come from and the entire time, I was just wondering now they, cuz it kept being brought up and they were just like, They're really powerful and they could fly at the speed of light. And I was like, where, where are these bikes from?
P Lantern:And then I was just, I was watching it and I was like, what, what's the point?
Jonni Boy:Well, they kind of didn't explain it, but then later on as we'll find out, inter Gang has a, a big site that they go to at the end that is a mine. And so they probably have mined Etherium cuz it, if you look at the movie on captions it said, it says Etherium Bike.
P Lantern:Right. They also Hadum Cannons.
Jonni Boy:Yes.
P Lantern:So they had to, I just mind it.
ZaneMan:I just feel like it should have been set up better.
P Lantern:Yeah.
Jonni Boy:Should have explained it a little bit better where they came from. Cuz they did just come outta nowhere and you're like, who are these guys? And you kind of knew they were with Inner Gang, but they really didn't, or with Ishma in Inner Gang, but they never really explained it.
ZaneMan:Yeah. They feel like they just kept getting, gaining abilities whenever they needed to. Like they had a storage compartment and they could go at like the speed of light. I didn't understand it as it was happening.
Jonni Boy:Cyclone saves Kareem Teth. Adam shows up to Adriana's house with Dr., Fate and Hawkman, and he has two prisoners. Inter Gang has a mine in the mountains. Teth, Adam and Hawkman fight in the apartment to discover the Crown. Adriana forces Teth Adam and the Justice Society team up to get Amman. They debrief and while they're debriefing, this is funny. Teth Adam takes off and takes on inner gang all by himself. Yeah, starts killing everybody.
ZaneMan:He can do it.
Jonni Boy:AK man. It want him to kill anybody.
ZaneMan:Well, that's on him.
P Lantern:Honestly, he's not Batman. Come on now.
Jonni Boy:Yeah, that's true
ZaneMan:for real.
Jonni Boy:Ishma has ahman behind an Etherium Shield in that mine. Teth. Adam cannot break through Justice Society and Adriana show up and Ishma wants to crown, puts a gun to Ahman saying, and Adriana says she has the crown. Everyone gets covered as Teth. Adam again explodes a lightning bomb basically around them. And Teth Adam, actually did hurt Iman and Ishma is holding onto the crown and he's crushed now.
ZaneMan:He's crushed.
Jonni Boy:Well, he looked like he wasn't bones like the other guy, but it was burnt.
ZaneMan:Like pizza crust.
Jonni Boy:Yeah, like burnt.
ZaneMan:Oh, he burned it,
Jonni Boy:like burned chicken.
ZaneMan:Some people liked him to be burned.
Jonni Boy:Yeah.
P Lantern:Crispy,
Jonni Boy:crispy, crispy chicken nuggets.
ZaneMan:I like mine to have a lot of sauce on it. That's how I like my pizza.
P Lantern:That's sauce. Ketchup.
Jonni Boy:Ketchup is what we used to put on our, pizza at school cuz it didn't have any taste to it.
ZaneMan:What?
Jonni Boy:Yeah, like a sheet of cheese. a man and Teth Adam meets at the temple again. We find out about a root. And Teth. Adam, he was the father of the true champion. He is not the champion, he is the father of the true champion, which is Haru. And the king went after him and his wife because Haru was the champion. Haru the champion, had his dad repeat the word. Shaza. Well, he and his dad became the champion.
ZaneMan:Yeah. And then his dad, killed the wizards.
Jonni Boy:that wasn't until a little bit later, but Yes.
ZaneMan:he brought it up earlier.
P Lantern:You should have mentioned why he had to repeat Shazam. That's cuz when they were coming after him he got shot with an arrow. Yes.
Jonni Boy:So he, does die. and then 10th Adam goes into the air and because of his rage, he's wearing some kind of uniform but then it turns all black.
ZaneMan:Yeah. Cuz he is bad now.
Jonni Boy:Yeah. He's supposedly not the Hero. And that's a theme throughout this movie, heroes and Villains and, and Hawkeye even said something, we're the heroes not the villain.
ZaneMan:You say Hawkeye again.
Jonni Boy:I did Hawkman.
ZaneMan:Go back to the Marvel universe.
Jonni Boy:And, you know, I'm glad that they paid attention to detail, but if you noticed on his ship, Hawkman had his logo everywhere. Yeah. I mean, they were on the seats. They were on the doors. I mean, they were everywhere. So you, you knew who ship it was. Didn't question that. It would've been cooler, I think if they would've had the logos of Dr., Fate or whoever on the seats they were sitting in. But that, that didn't happen.
ZaneMan:Well, you see, he didn't expect guests.
P Lantern:He also like that wasn't his only team wasn't the only people he worked with. Cause he's like the worst superhero ever.
ZaneMan:Yeah. The worst teammates.
Jonni Boy:Teth Adam says to Hawkman, some men aren't meant to be heroes. The Justice Society fly Teth Adam to a task force Xite, where, har court is there from peacemaker and she takes over the body of Teth Adam because they did get him to say Shazam
ZaneMan:gross.
Jonni Boy:And so he's gonna be locked up now.
ZaneMan:Oh, right.
Jonni Boy:Submerged in water with something over his face. So he can't say any words.
ZaneMan:I just remembered when we were watching this movie, I thought it was gonna end like four different times.
P Lantern:Facts
Jonni Boy:Yeah. I think it was around this time when they captured him. I thought the movie was over too, and I started to fall asleep in a theater.
ZaneMan:Yeah. I thought this was already gonna end. There was another point where I thought, I was like, all right, can't be like more than five minutes.
Jonni Boy:And I woke up and it was still going and I was like, I thought that was the end. They captured him. That was the end. And there was other things going.
ZaneMan:So you intentionally fell asleep
Jonni Boy:and intentionally Imwe
ZaneMan:end. So we would've to wake you up.
Jonni Boy:No, I just, just fell asleep. Sure. Just, you know, old man passing out
P Lantern:that movie, was super long.
ZaneMan:It's like 17 hours.
Jonni Boy:I think when I was doing the notes, I was like, I got another hour and a half left. I mean, didn't, didn't I already watch an hour and a half? Goodness Gracious gracious.
P Lantern:I saw this movie in theaters. Luckily I saw it at, a place, I don't know the name of, that you can order food while you watched the movie.
Jonni Boy:Oh, that's cool. Yeah.
P Lantern:Yeah. And I got a full course meal.
Jonni Boy:I'm sure you ate probably like four times.
P Lantern:All. Yeah. I had enough for like a, it's, I got a shareable thing. I got wings, onion rings, chicken tenderers, corn, dog nuggets, mozzarella sticks,
ZaneMan:you, you know what it says, Cher with those artists, supposed they're not sable
P Lantern:nachos. Uh, and like two pretzels. And I ate it all myself. And I like a Coke too.
Jonni Boy:Yeah. I wonder how he got outta the seat with all that stuff.
ZaneMan:I know. I thought it would just get stuck.
P Lantern:I ate it in like the first hour and then I was hungry after.
Jonni Boy:Yeah. I like those movies where you can eat, but yeah, I could see where you'd probably, you probably would've had lunch, dinner. And breakfast all while watching this movie.
ZaneMan:Within the span of the 17 hours,
Jonni Boy:so Adriana figures out that the words on the Crown did not read. Life is the only path to death. It actually reads death is the only path to life. And the reason why she figures that out, because when Ishmael has the crown, he says it backwards. Death is the only path to light. So they flip the crown upside down and they realize that its death is the only path to light. Then you're like, oh, crap. And then Ishma they have the body, of course, on the plane, and he starts to light up and comes back to life as sabic. He says the word sabic and becomes the Demonn sabic. And he crashes the Justice Society's ship. Dr., Fate, Cyclone, Hawkman, Adam, Smasher. Take him on.
ZaneMan:Wow.
Jonni Boy:This is probably when I woke back up and I was like, oh, we're still doing the movie.
ZaneMan:You didn't fall asleep that long ago.
Jonni Boy:was just kind of like, I shut my eyes and I thought I was out for like an hour, but it was only a few minutes.
ZaneMan:That's me going to sleep at night.
Jonni Boy:Yeah. Dr. Fate, puts up a force field and, he basically takes on Sabec alone because he had seen a vision of them dying. And Dr. Fate is gonna sacrifice himself. He calls on Teth, Adam, giving him the choice of to be a destroyer or being a savior. Dr. Fate, bu bum bu dies.
ZaneMan:Was it his f. Sorry, I was doing the whole theme song.
Jonni Boy:Teth Adam swims to the surface. The Justice Society witnessed Dr. Face Depp. Saba brings Back the Dead by sitting on the throne that we had seen in that same, same place. The same
ZaneMan:Oh, okay. I was, I was like, where are we? We been, yeah. Haven't like introduced our place in a while.
Jonni Boy:Teth Adam sees a vision of his family and his son because he's probably on the verge of death and his son said it's not his time. Ahman inspires the crowd. Teth. Adam says Shazam. Teth. Adam fights Saba and saves Hawkman.
ZaneMan:Wait, what did he say?
Jonni Boy:Shazam.
ZaneMan:Shazam.
Jonni Boy:Shazam.
ZaneMan:Oh, Shazam.
Jonni Boy:Hawkman picks up Dr. Fate's helmet and many Hawkman take on Saba. Teth Adam and the crowd takes on the Undead and Teth. Adam helps injured Hawkman Dr.. Fate helmet disappears. Justice Society leaves the crowd. They chance Long Live the champion As Teth Adam sits on the throne and destroys it. He tells them to call him something else besides Teth Adam. And the movie ends on,

Jonni Boy:Black Adam.
ZaneMan:No, but they didn't say it.
Jonni Boy:They didn't say it, but
ZaneMan:what'd they call him?
Jonni Boy:I don't know if you guys, you know, know of, you know the older Batman, the one with no heath legend played the Joker and all that stuff. So at the very end of the movie is when the movie begins. So it's kind of like taking on DC legacy that Here it is at the end of the movie.
ZaneMan:Yeah. Well, they can never be Heath Ledger.
Jonni Boy:True. Hey, so at the end of the movie, he's black Adam
P Lantern:Real quick. You skipped over a lot.
Jonni Boy:Number one told you I wasn't gonna talk about all the minutia.
P Lantern:I know
Jonni Boy:people go watch the movie. It's 14 hours long. Yeah,
ZaneMan:but only 17 hours today.
P Lantern:But there are a few key parts that you skipped over, like the throne. You had never mentioned that once until the end. You also didn't mention that Teth Adam was a little dude and he had to fight off all the guards as a little dude until he could get the mouthpiece off and he like broke out of prison. So, you know, you gotta remember to mention those parts.
Jonni Boy:Like I said, you can take the 14 hours and order, order all your 17 shareables.
P Lantern:I actually went with somebody else and didn't share.
Jonni Boy:I'm sure you did.

But anyway, a drone drops down, it's Amanda Waller and she says, okay, black Adam and gives him a warning conduct is his prison. She says she can send someone from other planets and he's like, send them all.
ZaneMan:Yeah, why not?
Jonni Boy:And then Superman shows up and says, it's been a while since anyone's made the world, you know, nervous and, We need to talk black Adam.
ZaneMan:It's been a while since anyone has had a, an avenger level threat is what she said.
Jonni Boy:Yeah. And so they're playing the what he said to old Superman theme, they all said it. And so it, it doesn't make any difference because there's not gonna be another Superman and there's not gonna be another Aquaman, there's not gonna be all this stuff. Wonder Woman three is up in limbo and all kinds of D C U stuff that, Mr. Guns stopped
ZaneMan:and then superman said, it's moron time.
Jonni Boy:Yeah. None of that is, none of that's happening now. because they decided to go in a different direction.
P Lantern:Yeah. And then Black Adam and Superman did the fusion dance.
Jonni Boy:he's not gonna, probably, he's gonna do other things, but he might, you know, they're gonna, they're gonna reboot probably Teth. Adam. They're probably gonna reboot the whole. DC you, how do you guys feel about all of that stuff? Not being part of the process anymore? I didn't even know that was funny.
P Lantern:No, you missed it.

ZaneMan:Anyway, um, movie was pretty interesting. Anyway,
Jonni Boy:but what about all of that stuff going on with James Gunn and Peter Saffron? Okay. And them canceling all the D C U.

Jonni Boy:we're really concerned about it over here at Hero. Chat. Show. Anyway, it's like, you know, whatever. We knew it wasn't gonna amount to anything. They're all on different worlds and different places and blah, blah, blah.

ZaneMan:So the 17 hours took a lot of time. It was like 17 hours outta my day.

Jonni Boy:I think that's why the CDs they would make them in different chapters. Cause I could see watching like a chapter of this and then coming back to it and watching. Cause it would almost be like three movies in one.

Nicki and Pug arrive at the Boba Cafe, pug tells Nicki it's a front for a superhero clothing business. The shop owner shows them Avengers. And it's actually not Avengers. It's Avengers and Avin. Jonni Boy:T-shirts and Collections. They get some gear, because he makes them before he sets up a meeting with the next person that's up a consultation with the next person. Cuz this is not the guy.
ZaneMan:Yeah, the merch was pretty cool.
Jonni Boy:It was pretty funny with the wrong names on it and they were rocking it.
ZaneMan:Yeah,
Jonni Boy:she, Hawk's Ball says to fix Titania using she hawk using herself. Mallory she Hawk's coworker takes on the case. She Hawk says, did Dr. Strange or Thor trademarked their names and Amelia's like, you used the two people who used their real names.
ZaneMan:Yeah.
Jonni Boy:Mallory asked Nikki to help her since She hawk and look at the dress. And then in court Mallory and she Hawk arrive at court with Titania Jen using the name She Hawk is, come to be known by this Monier. The Fence shows a video of she hawk denying the name.
ZaneMan:I think that Ironman probably would've trademarked his name.
Jonni Boy:It's true.
ZaneMan:He probably knows the legal trouble he can get into
Jonni Boy:Nicki and she Hawk arrive at an appointment with Luke. He's the guy that, they set up the appointment with Nikki talks to him about making a regular suit for she Hawk Todd, one of the guys that she formally dates is talking to. Amelia, Todd is a client of Amelia and Todd says they should reconnect.
ZaneMan:No.
Jonni Boy:Yeah, Todd's not a good guy.
ZaneMan:Yeah, no one likes Todd.
Jonni Boy:Outside the law offices, Nikki and Jen are eating lunch, discussing Todd and Nikki says she's telling her friends, he's went out on a date with her as she hawk Jen reveals the dating app and several dates as a pattern. this is how she wins her case. So she found a way to beat it.
ZaneMan:Yeah. Ak,
Jonni Boy:AK maybe the way she wanted to, but ak
ZaneMan:it's a very weird way I would say. Now I'm rhyming.
Jonni Boy:I know you're doing all kinds of rhyming in court. Use She hawk as a name on the dating app and they will get the name of the, dates to testify. And she tells them about using she Hawk as the name. The court finds in favor of Jen. Walters.
ZaneMan:Of course they do. She's the protagonist.
Jonni Boy:Yeah. And she hawk and all the products of Titans. She hawk to be recalled.

Jonni Boy:what did I say? You said pride Ducks. Yeah. All the products. Mallory says she hawk deserves better than those men at the bar. Jim, buys Amelia drink and Jen remembers her clothes. Luke made, she hawks something extra and Luke moves around in his office and guess what? It's daredevil's mask, but it's new, yellow and golden.

ZaneMan:is not one of the most boring episodes in the show.
Jonni Boy:Jen, box, she gets asking Jen to be a bridesmaid for Lulu Jen is packing and Nikki is, saying not to, bring a Luke suit. Nikki wants to see the super suit at Lulu's wedding. She hawk shows up in a Luke dress. Lulu the bride, says she Hawk is taking the attention away from her and Lulu does not want her to be hawky.
ZaneMan:I think that's a fair thing to say because like it is her day.
Jonni Boy:Exactly. She hawk shouldn't be looking all amazing.
ZaneMan:Although I, think that the girl could have said it nicer
Jonni Boy:probably. Just Jen title card. And then Lulu tells Jen she'll be walking with Jonathan and the bridesmaids say, Jonathan is the best at GLK&H. Mallory is talking, and Mr. Immortal, it's a divorce case. Mr. Immortal kills himself instead of, um, ending. and basically Mallory and Nikki give him a hard time and he jumps out the window, falling and crashing a security guard car and gets up and walks away.
ZaneMan:yeah, that's rough.
Jonni Boy:Lulu's wedding. Tatiana shows up and she's dating a friend of the groom. Lulu and Tatiana tried to convince Jen she's not there to fight.
ZaneMan:Did you just say Tatiana again?
Jonni Boy:Probably.
ZaneMan:There's no way of doing that on purpose anymore.
Jonni Boy:Uh, well, you know, maybe I am. Just to see if you're still paying attention over there.

Jonni Boy:In ChatAble, GLK&H, Nicki sorts out the individually. Who wants clients for Mr. Immortal? Molly gives Nicki props at Lulu's wedding. Josh talks to drunk gin drunk. Uh, Josh thinks gin is pretty great. Gin gets sick outside and Titania punches gin. Titania says it's no fun unless you're she hawk.'Ched, sorry. Dj. And ChatAble Hawk says, wedding fight and plays electric slide while Tatiana and she hawk fight at the wedding. Titania trips and breaks her veneers while people videotape her with their phone and she leaves

Jonni Boy:Episode seven, the retreat. Jen visits, blansky's Wellness Retreat. Meets new friends and gets in touch with her inner SheHulk, Jen's apartment. Jen's getting ready. Checks, messages from Josh. Goes out with Josh. More messages, more dates with Josh until she sleeps with him. And on Friday he ghost her.
ZaneMan:Gross.
Jonni Boy:I know. Sunday she checks. And a Emil Blanche's parole officer calls about a malfunction alert on Blansky's inhibitor.
ZaneMan:Wait, wait, wait, wait.
Jonni Boy:Chuck wants gin she hawk to meet him there.
ZaneMan:I thought so. The Hulk can't have relations, but this one can.
Jonni Boy:I know.
ZaneMan:That doesn't seem fair.
Jonni Boy:It doesn't, but wait, it is Sunday. Let's see. Jen checks her cell phone the whole time. Driving up to the summer Twilights Emil's retreat. Chuck, recalibrates a Emil's inhibitor and immediately he's out.
ZaneMan:Yeah, he gone.
Jonni Boy:I'm out a Emil Walks Jen out and brings, two beans are fighting near Jen's car. She hawk breaks it up. and then we meet man Bull and l Alia.
ZaneMan:Yeah,
Jonni Boy:yeah.
ZaneMan:Yep. That's how it's pronounced. I guess.
Jonni Boy:Jen's car is wrecked so she can't leave. Jen checks her phone. No service at the retreat as Emil shows. Jen around. Jen, wanders around trying to find wifi and comes across a meal. fan Bull l Porcupine and Saccharin. group session wrecker walks in and he's one of the guys who attacked Jen for her blood, in that first couple episodes. And he was in the ut she hawk and record joined the group and Jen explains her guy problems. Guy problems.
ZaneMan:Yeah. Well I'm assuming that therapy would probably help, especially if you can now turn into the Hulk.
Jonni Boy:Yeah. And that's what she gets at the retreat,
ZaneMan:releasing some of that pressure. Yeah. I mean she has like a meal to relate to since he can also turn into the Abomination.
Jonni Boy:Exactly. Yeah. Group suggests Jen stop using she Hawk as a shield and egg her on to delete Josh's number. Jen spends time sweating it out in the year a tow truck shows up and Jen says goodbye to the group and then they show three days earlier we see Josh copying, stealing Jen's phone info. They take a picture, of Jen and text Huling. Blood in the shot chemical and thumbs up emojis. So they got the, they got the blood
ZaneMan:chemical and thumbs up emoji.
Jonni Boy:They got the blood.
ZaneMan:They must have, I mean they must have, I mean they must have, I mean
Jonni Boy:that's true.
ZaneMan:Yeah. I remember when we were watching that episode, I was like, yeah, that man's going for the blood. And you're like, no, he's not Zane. He probably loves her. And I was like, no man, he's going for the blood.
Jonni Boy:And that's what he did.
ZaneMan:He went for the blood
Jonni Boy:and that's probably why she didn't want her to be. She hawk at the wedding episode Ribbit and Rip it. She hawk represents leapfrog, who was injured due to a malfunction in his costume, made super suit outside a store. And the GLK&H law officers, two guys are stealing TVs and leapfrog appears as guard frog, uh, shouted as catch fray time to Rip it and Rip it.
ZaneMan:Yeah, I, I knew Frogmen before I watched this episode, and I was surprised to see him in here. I liked the suit. I thought it was funny, but I, think the character himself when he was normal could have been better.
Jonni Boy:Yeah, he was pretty funny on the show, he turns on his boots and then, flames up his suit and it catches on fire and he gets third degree burns on his legs. he wants to sue Luke Jacobson, who specializes in super suits. She hawks explains her conflict of interest with suing Luke to her boss. He says they need to keep all the people happy and willing to sign a conflict waiver. Her boss suggests she hawk come to an agreement with Mr. Jacobson, so filing is not necessary. She hawk's visits Luke to tell him of the dysfunctional suit. Luke said he does not make suits that malfunction. Luke tells she Hawk no more clothes for her and she hawk says she will see him in court. Yeah, he's really dis satisfied with that.
ZaneMan:I think She-Hulk should have gotten more information.
Jonni Boy:True.
ZaneMan:Something's gonna go wrong,
Jonni Boy:something squirrely
ZaneMan:and I definitely don't know that cuz I've already watched the show and know exactly what's gonna happen at the end of that episode. But you know,
Jonni Boy:in court Luke's counsel shows up late and it's Matt Murdoch. You find out that their dialogue. Slow voia cords have been repealed. Matt asked what kind of fuel did he use in his boosters Jett fuel? He says, it's not what Luke's instructions said. The judge as Mrs. A case Jen, asked Luke to take her back as a client. Luke says no.
ZaneMan:Well yeah, of course. You mean you helped sue him?
Jonni Boy:He's mad now. Yeah.
ZaneMan:I mean, if someone sued me I wouldn't like be awesome.
Jonni Boy:Yeah. I'd be like, Hey, I know you just sued me, but I'll still make your suits.
ZaneMan:Yeah, I wouldn't say that.
Jonni Boy:Soup a suit. Yeah. Uh, soup suit.
ZaneMan:We should have an episode on the Incredibles at some point.
Jonni Boy:Yeah, we should do that. Legalese bar and grill Gin is drinking. another drink. and then a appletini from Matt at the bar. Matt asked to join Gin. They discussed the case and Appletini was a good choice, by the way, cuz it was a green drink.

Jonni Boy:Yeah. Matt asked to join Jen. They discussed the case. Matt says to, he took Luke on because he made a few suits. Matt says, gin can use the law and she hawk can. when the law fails them, Matt gets a call and Todd texts Jen. They're at a restaurant and she hawk meets Todd. There was a Waka war spear. He's acquired for a million dollars and Todd gets fresh and she hawk leaves, leapfrog calls and is being attacked on his way to the Lily pad, his famous secret layer. Jen goes to meet Leapfrog. She Hawk is in front of Leapfrog's car and he hits her and we see someone fly off his car. Who could it be?
ZaneMan:I don't know.

ZaneMan:Imagine having to like make your ears figure out the difference between them.

Jonni Boy:Daredevil has another cool hallway scene and black light Leapfrog calls his goons tadpoles. Five guys come towards Daredevil and she hawk drops from the ceiling on top of them. She hawks. They're dead. Smasher.
ZaneMan:Well, they're dead. So,
Jonni Boy:Leapfrog has video games of Frogger, signal, and more goons'Ched Hawk faces Luke and talks to leapfrog while doing kicks. Everyone else's butts. Leapfrog yells Ribbit and Rip It and jumps out a window hurting himself.
ZaneMan:Yeah.
Jonni Boy:Police and paramedics show up and, remove an injured leapfrog. Luke forgives she hawk. She hawk says, will you make my gala dress? Luke says, yes, Jen and Daredevil hang out. the lily pad sign debate their fighting styles. Daredevil says he will take her out. Jen says, to skip that. And Daredevil and Jen make out and have sex.
ZaneMan:Oh, ew. Again,
Jonni Boy:Daredevil is shown doing the walk of shame, holding his shoes like over his.

Jen breaks the fourth wall. I know all this Todd Titania breaks in. Todd's bro Hawk attacks Gin Abomination. Puts her up on his shoulders, Hawk breaks in Hawk, in Abomination fight. Jen says None of these, you know, storylines make any sense. And the episode goes to the Disney home screen. Jen breaks through the She Hawk description box to the Marvel assembled box. She Hawk is on the Disney lot and goes to the She Hawk production studios and the writer's room, she Hawk says it's a stupid finale, and the writers are certainly thinking that it, um, how did this happen? In a superhero story, Jen says, why don't we just do things our own way? The head writer says, it's the story Kevin wants.

Jonni Boy:she Hawk wants to talk to Kevin. They all. ZaneMan:for those of you, for audio listeners, he just held up an L with his fingers. Oh yeah. So then they go to a funeral, they're all listening to like, them speak and they're like, man, it's boring out here.
P Lantern:Well, no, they don't go to a funeral.
ZaneMan:They, they go to the funeral,
P Lantern:they go to like the first funeral without their costumes on. And then they all like surround his grave later with their costumes on. And that's where you choose your character.
ZaneMan:And then Yeah, as they're talking, they're all just like, you don't even listen to what they say. Cause you're like, let me read about my character, about to choose,
P Lantern:let me see what.
ZaneMan:I don't remember exactly what they describe it as, but when I was choosing I
P Lantern:Lame.
ZaneMan:Yeah, lame. That was Bat girl.
P Lantern:Um, yeah. Night Wing was acrobatic and like something ranged and then you had bat girl who was intelligent and like good at hacking stuff.
ZaneMan:Yeah. She was a good hacker.
P Lantern:And then Robin was stealthy.
ZaneMan:Tim Drake was master of stealth. He was good with, not ABO staff, but Was it ABO staff? Yeah, it was, it was ABO staff. And then, um, and then it said that he was also, oh, he was also really smart. Batman said that he was probably smarter than him.
P Lantern:Yeah. And then, Jason Tar was like, this guy has
ZaneMan:guns. Yeah. Now it's all, it's said. And so he chose Red Hood cuz he's always choosing that kind of character. And I chose Tim Drake, like he's always
P Lantern:choosing that kind of character, you know? It's
ZaneMan:true. That's true. Um, you had to play the first mission and then go back to the, you had to go somewhere to start to be co-op. So this is gonna be our, we had to the same mission, but separately.
P Lantern:Separately first. At first we did it separately
ZaneMan:and everyone knows if you played video games before, this is the tutorial mission where they teach you everything. So you walk into a building, they're talking in your ear, they're like, there's gotta be some clues here.
P Lantern:There's gotta be some clues around your petman.
ZaneMan:And then if, when I was playing his Tim Drake, he's, he said something like, jumping jellyfish or something. I was like, that's a good reference.
P Lantern:Yeah. And then, you know, jump in Josa fan. And then, um, Jason Tyler was like, yeah, of course there is. And then,
ZaneMan:wow, that was loud. Sorry. Audio listeners. so you go through the mission and you're, you're investigating this guy that had died? Yeah.
P Lantern:Um,
ZaneMan:some scientist, some scientists, I don't think either of us really remember this mission very well.
P Lantern:I remember it pretty well. I
ZaneMan:then tell him what happened.
P Lantern:So you're um, obviously it's a tutorial mission. So you're learning the controls. It shows you how to find clues. You follow the clues. It's like a trail. And then you go down and then you go to a main area and it's just like this big area, this courtyard with a bunch of bad guys and you gotta like take'em down and it tells you the controls. And then you go inside where the hostages are and you let'em out and then you run cuz the police are there. and you go down to the, police station, which is the next part of the mission. And you go in and you get more clues and you sneak into the scientists like the morgue where the scientist is being held. Oh, right. And then further into the morgue, there's this place where the scientists worked. And it was, there was like clue and you had to figure out a key to you pick up, you pick up a key card and it's just like a secret entrance. And then you go down to the basement bunker where he is got this creatures and all that stuff.
ZaneMan:Yeah. And, and then you get to the furnace room where they burn all the bodies and um, Shaw, his dead body's there, and nearly. And then you see someone standing over and you're like, oh. The legal assassin, they're gonna try to resurrect him, but then you see that they stab and they're like, nah, you're, that's a good whatever. While we were in this mission, we were still playing separately cuz we couldn't play together yet. and something happened in this section where that Black p talked about for the rest of the game
P Lantern:because, okay, so Jason Todd, it doesn't say as many like dialogue lines as Tim Drake or another person would, and he isn't his witty. he's kinda like me, me the whole, like the whole game.
ZaneMan:Yeah. Like during this section, all Tim Drake was doing was he kept acting, asking questions to the. By the way, it's Tali al. We didn't mention that yet, but it was Tali Al Go and he just keeps asking like, why and why would you do this or whatever. But you know, red hood,
P Lantern:he was like those damn ninjas as soon as he walks in. And that was like, that was all we said. He was like those damn ninjas. And that was it.
ZaneMan:And he just talked about that for the rest of the game
P Lantern:because Why did he say it like that, bro?
ZaneMan:yeah. So after that you have to dodge all the cops and then you get to leave and go back to the bell free, which is
P Lantern:the watch tower,
ZaneMan:which if not the watch tower, that's something completely different if you call it.
P Lantern:Nah, it's the watch tower.
ZaneMan:The watch tower is a satellite in space. Not technically a satellite.
P Lantern:No, it's the watch tower for the Justice League.
ZaneMan:The bell? No it's not. The bell free is a little clock tower. It's not
P Lantern:really little. It's like that biggest building.
ZaneMan:It's the biggest building in the game except for Wayne Tower, I think. Yeah. and that's where you, that's like your back cave of the game and you can see all four of the suits in there and you can change your character in there. And that's where, and then you can finally play co-op and they have like a little cut scene there and it's just like, man, we gotta do something
P Lantern:Oh yeah, we got stuffed to do.
ZaneMan:Do you remember what they say?
P Lantern:No shot
ZaneMan:Yeah. We don't remember the story very well.
P Lantern:Um, cuz it was just for me, I was unable to really follow with the story cuz a lot of my scenes were really glitchy.
ZaneMan:A horrible memory.
P Lantern:Yeah. This guy can't remember his own name. yeah, his name's Richard by the way. Yeah. but in the belfry there was a lot of cut scenes that had to do with like certain aspects of the belfry and like memories and they all got their own powers and blah, blah, blah.
ZaneMan:Yeah. So they were, everyone had their own cut, you know, we're gonna talk about that in a minute. But the main story was that they wanted to find Talia Al because they thought she had a plan and they didn't want the league of assassins to be here and, you know, all of that stuff. We're not gonna tell the story of this game very well, but we do really recommend that you play it.
P Lantern:It's really good game.
ZaneMan:It's a good game, especially if you have someone to play with. It's a couple
P Lantern:hours, like a good few hours of campaign ignoring all the side missions. It's a good few hours of campaign to do with a friend and we didn't even like, fully go through like the extra at the end.
ZaneMan:So every character has the main story. That they can go through. But every character has their own little cut scenes that they can watch as well. Right. And I remember the first cut scene I had, let's see, it was all right. Well the first cut scene I had was when you get your, your special ability that each character has and he looks at the memorial that they had up in the bell free for Batman, and he's like tapping on his little tablet and he's just like, I want, he sees something reflecting. He's just like, I wonder if I could use the watch. Tells teleportation to do short jumps across spans. And so these are usually called their knighthood abilities and each character's a different one. And I chose Tim Drake mostly cuz he had this ability. he can tell port short distances and it's really good ability. right. So you can take it over with red Hood now.
P Lantern:So Red hood's cut scene, he was like, Oh, that whole thing. It's like glowing. He was at the Batman memorial and he went up and touched the mask and then he like had a epileptic shock where he was like, oh God, I'm having a seizure. And he was like, whoa, huh, I'm magical. Uh, cuz he died and came back in the Lazarus pit, which had something to do with Grace Hall go. And then he got, you know, special powers, which allowed him to jump on air. That was it. That's his special ability. It's nothing cool like teleporting. He's just bouncing.
ZaneMan:Yeah. That's how he moves around the city. So you would think he'd be slower, but mine's a lot cooler even though
P Lantern:he is a lot cooler. But I'm flying,
ZaneMan:playing together and using these night abilities. It's super sick to see each person going around, and doing these things. so cut scenes. Yeah, cut scenes. Um, go around the city and since he can teleport, I always wanted to see what it was like on his screening, cuz I would just disappear and then reappear someone else. Whereas his was just a basic jump that he could just continuously do.
P Lantern:Yeah. It looked the same, what my screens did on his screen, but on his screen, his whole like, name tag and everything disappeared. He would like flip in and then blip out and blip in and blip out, which was super sweet to see.
ZaneMan:And you could unlock an ability where you could, um, stealth attack people when coming out of it. And so he would just see me appear, take someone out, and then disappear again, which I always thought would look super sick, but I never got to witness it from his side.
P Lantern:Yeah. there were a lot of different missions that had to do with a lot of the, old Batman villains like Mr. Freeze and the Penguin. Yeah. In the league of, uh, owls and, the League of the ninjas.
ZaneMan:So anyway, you basically, find out, you see this clue where it's just like, man, this must be like the court of vowels and Yeah. You find out that Batman was investigating them. Mm-hmm. And so
P Lantern:before he died,
ZaneMan:you break into one of their layers and you, you see that, you know the, what is it? His uncle Batman's uncle.
P Lantern:Yeah, his uncle.
ZaneMan:Oh, sorry. For anyone who doesn't know Batman is Bruce Wayne. I'm sorry, we said spoilers. We said spoiler. I'm so sorry. and so Bruce Wayne's uncle, forget his name. You know his name?
P Lantern:he's the mayor.
ZaneMan:Yeah, the mayor, whatever his name is.
P Lantern:No, he, his wife is the mayor. He's he's the mayor's wife. Yeah. He's the mayor's wife.
ZaneMan:Yeah. So, You find out that it's him and then, you know, the League of Shadows. We're skipping a lot, by the way. Yeah. Please play the game. It's very good. the Court of Owls and the League of Assassins, they, they start a fight yet to get out of there. and then you realize like, Hey, the Court of owls, they're really not the main bad guys here. Yeah. It's the League of Assassins.
P Lantern:The League of Shadows,
ZaneMan:league of Shadows and assassins and shadows
P Lantern:and ninjas.
ZaneMan:So don't know what the next stuff
P Lantern:You don't remember. No. Yeah, I know. so they were ding it out and then, you know, because the, court of owls is such a big thing. They like control all of Gotham and those two like superpowers were fighting. and in order to take over Gotham, which was. Talia UL's plan, which was her secret motive to helping them out, get rid of the court of ours, um, was to revive Batman, bring him back to life and control him like a puppet, to bring about a new rule of Gotham with, Talia Ul in the League of Shadows. it was a big thing. It was a big fight. You had to fight Batman. You had to fight T goul at the same time,
ZaneMan:and we were playing as, you know, as we were saying, we were playing together and fighting Batman. You'd have to do these little parts where it's like, wake up. You'd have to wake, wake up, say something to him. and, you know, there would be this nice little thing where I would go up to him like, you couldn't see all three by your, unless you're playing by yourself. But like, I think he, I did it one, and then he did one, and then he pressed the third one, but it made me go on the cut scene. So like the first one, he basically said something, it was the same sentiment as like, man, you're my best son. I love you so much. And then he did it. And what did he say?
P Lantern:He was just like, oh, hey, you're, you're okay.
ZaneMan:Yeah. it was like not as sentimental at all. And the third one was just like, come on, dad.
P Lantern:And Jason was just standing in the background, like
ZaneMan:he was just standing around. Um, and then the last cut scene was, Batman gain full control of himself. Again, getting into the bat wing cuz it was really close to,
P Lantern:because the talons were flooding in, which was a core, ours like, Like Goum, like creature.
ZaneMan:Yeah. And so he got in the bat wing and you know, he said it to self-destruct and he recorded last video again. He was just like, man, guys, I love you, but I hate red hood. Yeah, that guy. and so he flew it into like all the League of Shadows and killed them all. well like all the good guys got out
P Lantern:and then Batman died second time. Second time. Also a key aspect of this game, you know, since that was the very end of the story and then like everything was just like, oh yeah, whatever. It's the end of everything. Everything's back to normal. It was very stealth heavy game. Oh, very stealth heavy,
ZaneMan:right? Yeah. You could stealth every single mission self heavy if you wanted to. And I could. I would be able to do it easily cuz I could jump, teleport, get to somewhere easy, take someone out and you know, I would say, yo, please, this next mission, stealth it. Come on. It's so easy.
P Lantern:Be quiet. And there in each mission, like submission, there was a, a side part of that mission where you had to get little objectives and a lot of them had to do with being stealthy and not getting detected. So me, Jason, tired, the guy with guns that are not stealthy. I would try to take someone down and just,
ZaneMan:so the two things that would happen, he would either run in, get detected immediately and start killing everyone while I was, I still stealth everyone cuz they didn't know I was there or he stealth attacked one person either messed it up by like, not by the game, not registering, press the right button or just killing someone in the middle of the room, and everyone's seeing him.
P Lantern:We would need like one more take down. I would just be like, okay.
ZaneMan:I just couldn't understand. I was able to do it so easily.
P Lantern:Yeah. I was really like, I had a lot of strong moves but I was not quiet.
ZaneMan:Yeah.
Jonni Boy:You guys, had me until Batman died again.
P Lantern:So they brought him back. You know how Jason Todd died?
ZaneMan:The Lazarus pit?
P Lantern:Yeah. They brought him back with the Lazarus pit, which was tied into the court of owls and all that stuff. the Lazarus pit was wrapped up in that, and then they brought him back from there, and then he got killed again.
Jonni Boy:Oh, okay. Well, you guys had me until Batman died again. I was like, I wonder if he'll be back for a sequel.
ZaneMan:He sacrificed himself again. Which, destroyed the Lazarus pits that they had down there. Yeah, because they were flammable, I guess. I don't know. It's a good story. It's a good game. I think you should play it, especially if you have a friend around.
P Lantern:And if you don't have a friend like this guy, find somebody, anybody off the street, pick'em up,
ZaneMan:homeless man, buy him the game, buy him a PS five to play it on. And then like, ethernet cable.
P Lantern:Ethernet cable. H D M I court sue somebody, get the H D M I court. Exactly. And then you got two people to play it with. It's a much better game to play with Doso. but yeah, I would very highly recommend this game. I would rate it among one of the best admin games.
ZaneMan:Yeah. I, think I really liked the old AUM games. Yeah. And we have talked about it a bit, but I think I liked even more than Arkham Asylum. Even
P Lantern:Imwe agree. I think it's definitely better than Aham Knight in Arkham City. I will say that the collectibles were a lot easier.
ZaneMan:oh yeah, there was battering scattered around the city and you could see'em from literal miles away.
P Lantern:Yeah. They would be like, Hey, is that something shiny?
ZaneMan:It's a purple shiny object. and you see it and you're just like, all right,
P Lantern:well I guess that's a battering. It was fun cause we'd be like traveling to a screen and be like, oh, something shiny. And we'd run over. and they're also like, art on the walls. So it was a really, it was fun game.
ZaneMan:It was really fun. I recommend it to anyone listening if you have anything or anyone to play with.
P Lantern:And even if you don't, it's a still a enjoyable game to play.
ZaneMan:Find it. Get the game. Anyway.
P Lantern:Solid 9.5 out of 10.

ZaneMan:I'd probably give it like a 9.5 out 10 too.
P Lantern:I wouldn't give it a 10. Outta 10. It was kind of short. I feel like they could've done more.
ZaneMan:I think the game could be longer. I wish it was for player, but we were having when the game, we played it when the first game first came out and it was having issues back then.
P Lantern:Yeah. The first couple days of it coming out,
ZaneMan:we couldn't even play together in the first day.
P Lantern:Servers were all messed up.
ZaneMan:Then the second day we had problems with crashing.
P Lantern:Yeah,
Jonni Boy:sounds like a pretty cool game. When I saw the previews for it, I was thinking it'll be one that I would like to play cuz I'm into the whole bath. Man, those man.
ZaneMan:Yeah, you should.
Jonni Boy:Yeah. I take a bath every now and again too.
ZaneMan:So old pin land who will play with you because he wants to get it again on the PS five that you just got for Christmas. That's Santa brought'em.
